There are many good cops and there are many bad , arrogant, power driven, and egotistical cops.
There is a ton of bad laws.

If it’s an arrestable offence the officer is bound by law to affect the arrest, period. The courts decide from that point.
The time to contest bad law is NOT during an arrest.

It’s the finger pointing game....

Why would people enforce bad laws, then willingly accept tax paid cash, rewards and benefits to do so?

No, COPs as a rule are criminals w/ badges. Not one is worth a dime and never to be trusted. I think the premise of the article is hilarious. The bad laws made them ‘do it’. LOL, not so much. The only bunch worse are the pols who give them the rope. Then there are the judges...

Georgia speed traps are horrendous. I’ve personally witnessed the use of bait cars. Its about revenue and not safety.

Tell me, when was the last time tens of thousands of cops and their powerful government unions publicly came out against all these bad endless controlling laws which they're rewarded and paid to enforce?

No mass protests? No work stoppages, no mass blue flu?

No public news conferences attempting to educated get the voters to support the fight against dominant oppressive laws?

What is your opinion of liberals who cherry-pick which laws they do and don’t want to enforce? Granted though in the case of Garner someone should have broken ranks but it’s possible that they genuinely didn’t understand how sick the poor guy was. Clue: Please leave very sick unmedicated asthmatics in the upright position.

There are many good cops and there are many bad , arrogant, power driven, and egotistical cops.

And yet criticizing the bad cops gets you painted as anti-police around here. Go figure.

Stupid laws make for large police budgets and job security, but I seem to remember a rather large law enforcement movement a few years back of officers pledged to walk off the job and join forces with the citizenry if the police were called upon to enforce tyranny under guise of martial law.

Now please answer #10 if you will.

I saw something once in Corrales, New Mexico (notorious speed trap town) that made me wonder. There was a line of cars going down the main road at about 20 mph (limit was 35). The second car's driver decided he'd had enough and went to pass the slowpoke. A motor cop about two cars behind me whipped out and pulled the guy over in about two seconds flat.

Ya mean like wide open lawless borders with millions entering illegally? I think they should be arrested and prosecuted on a number of existing charges.

I hope this helps.

Effect. Effect means to cause to occur. Affect means to have an influence on.

Answer my question now.

Tell me, why does the rank and file and their powerful government unions publicly refuse to come out against all these bad endless controlling laws? Laws which they’re rewarded and paid to enforce?

Why no public news conferences attempting to educated get the voters to support the fight against dominant oppressive laws?

What's up with that?

This is one of these cases where I hope Mr. Chadwick sues and gets generously compensated (and I would want any damages to be financed out of the budgets of the officials who misbehaved).

Assuming that the truth of the matter is as reported ...

Every police officer involved in the raid, their commanders, the judge who approved the raid, and the prosecutors who brought the matter to trial ..

ALL of them ...

Need to spend the rest of their lives in prison. No exceptions.

I predict that none of them will face any personal consequences ... And that makes many good people a lot less sympathetic to the Darren Wilsons of the world than they otherwise would be. The police need to be policed. We, the People ... who are supposed to be superior to the police (our servants) ... rightly have no confidence in them.
