Wow, it would be like unloading tribbles out of the cabinets! Think of all the new storage that would open up. :-D

First thing I thought of when I read this story was the dog owner saw the DM article about the dogs “rescued” from a hoarder, only to go through the one-way door. Must have figured the street was a safer bet.

I came across a handsome boxer mix standing in the middle of Highway 18 north of Monahans, Texas. This was the main road north and south between Monahans and Hobbs, NM... going through the oil patch. This was the desert... as in... like no water... and just mesquite bushes for shade... I tried to coax him out of the road to the truck, but he walked off to the other side, under the barbed wire and into the mesquite.

Someone just dumped him there... like a candybar wrapper. It’s disgusting... and even worse when you consider all the human beings that are abandoned...

Slagging off the UK on FR?. You’ll have to narrow it down, lol.

Only joking, its OK, I know most UK comments here are positive or if negative are meant with affection.

That breaks my heart, and it always makes me wonder-—why get an animal in the first place if you’re going to treat it that way?

You tried, and for that you are a good person.

Who was selling the dog and why does the dog need an eye operation?

Fin Rayner

"He has had a bit of a problem with his eyes and could need an operation, but apart from that he is fine and will make a great pet for someone."

From the linked articles, here and above.

When I first heard this story, I was upset.

But actually, it turned out to be a very good thing for the pup.

A good ending.
