McConnell Pledges to Avoid 'Scary' Excesses and 'Strident Stands' of 'Far Right'
Newsbusters ^ | January 5, 2015 | Tim Graham

“Mitch McConnell has an unusual admonition for the new Republican majority as it takes over the Senate this week: Don’t be ‘scary.’”...

Democrats are dubious of McConnell’s pledge to avert edge-of-the-cliff moments. They believe he will run into the same problems that have bedeviled House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) during the past four years — including the inability to corral rabble-rousers such as Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) to support an agenda that conservative critics will probably view as not bold enough in challenging Obama. Appeasing those far-right conservatives will lead to an agenda that Democrats hope to exploit in 2016.

Newsbusters does us a favor by paraphrasing the interview McConnell gave the Washington Compost.

In short, McConnell is sounding more and more like a Leftist Democrat with his castigation and warnings for incoming Republicans. That the leadership in the GOP hates Conservatives more than Democrat Leftists do is becoming more self-evident.

Who needs enemies with an oligarchy like this? The GOP is nothing more than another extension of Obama's fundamental transformation of the nation into an Imperial Fascist hellhole.

Sad but true.

We tried telling people. People knew better. Hope they enjoy what they demanded and made excuses for.

“McConnell is sounding more and more like a Leftist Democrat”

He IS a leftist democrat... putting an “R” next to his name is window dressing and nothing more.

Theres is no FAR right, Mcconnel is just too far left.

Balancing the budget is not an extremist position. $1trillion deficit/year, $20 trillion debt is an extremist position

The press repeats over and over that conservatives have “scary” and “strident” positions even though most are very reasonable and would have been considered mainstream 20 years ago. Then you get a useful idiot like McConnell who is too stupid to realize that no matter what he says, the MSM will always call whatever the Republican position is “extreme” unless they simply cave in to the Democrats. He is a fool to be saying what he is saying. He’s playing their game, which he will always lose.

Shove it, McDorkell.

And since your nose is already far up Obama’s Obamahole, guess you know where you’ll have to shove it.

Translation - McConnel proposes to do the media’s bidding and be a lapdog for Obama, helping Obama govern however Obama wants to govern while pretending he and the House do not themselves have a “veto pen”.

McConnel plans to epitomize what the GOP leadership has come to epitomize, which is that their job in Washington D.C. is to skuttle the political agenda of the majorities that elect them and help the Democrats achieve their agenda, which is something the Democrats NEVER do and would never do.

The Democrat leaders always know their job is to win for their agenda, period. The GOP leaders have no agenda other than to compromise.

They were saying that the Baby Boomers were going to pass on 58 trillion dollars to their heirs. They were saying that if they could get 18 trillion from that money, we could become debt free. They are trying to figure a way to do that. It would help the entire country according to them. It would still allow 40 trillion to be passed on which would be still a nice number. lol.
