On his way out of the door, his final day as a U.S. Senator, Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma) released a blistering oversight report that finds the federal Department of Homeland Security (DHS) isnt successfully executing any of its five main missions.
Coburns criticisms include, but also predate, the Obama administration. Among the key findings:
· DHS spent $50 billion over the past eleven years on counterterrorism programs but cannot demonstrate if the nation is more secure as a result.
· 700 miles of the Southern border remain unsecured.
· DHS is not effectively administering or enforcing the nations immigration laws. Only 3 in 100 illegal immigrants will ever face deportation.

And don’t forget, they went after a guy in New Mexico for fossil dinosaur eggs from Mongolia, and the ebony wood from Gibson Guitars.
The “DHS” needs to be abolished and a more effective system initiated to take its place. Too damn many demodummies and rinos mixed together.
Another Obama success story. Thanks george76.
This might be so...but how many thousands of children’s, women’s and men’s crotches have been closely examined at the airports? How many granny diapers have been examined? How many nekid x-rays examined? They have been very busy looking for terrorists.
Then we have the busy bees at the ATF selling arms to Mexican drug lords.
The NSA has managed to collect internet and telephone information on the whole nation! They have been busy.
This isn’t homeland insecurity, but we had Senator McCain over in Syria making nice with Isis and trying to get weapons and money to them.
Homeland insecurity has managed to make fantastic inroads with Islamists; placing Muslim Brotherhood members everywhere in the homeland insecurity organizations.
They have bought enough ammo to fight a real hot war - more than used in Iraq by the military amateurs - in case the American people, terrorists all, get uppity.
