On his way out of the door, his final day as a U.S. Senator, Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma) released a blistering oversight report that finds the federal Department of Homeland Security (DHS) isn’t “successfully executing any of its five main missions.”
Coburn’s criticisms include, but also predate, the Obama administration. Among the key findings:
· DHS spent $50 billion over the past eleven years on counterterrorism programs but cannot demonstrate if the nation is more secure as a result.
· 700 miles of the Southern border remain unsecured.
· DHS is not effectively administering or enforcing the nation’s immigration laws. Only 3 in 100 illegal immigrants will ever face deportation.

All Government agencies are a Mess under Obama
obama’s first DHS secretary refused to use the word “terrorist” for years. we shouldn’t be surprised that it’s totally screwed up.
Gee, it took him this long to figure it out?
I wonder how much his report cost us taxpayers.
But DHS has been intrepid to keep unlicensed Kansas City Royals’ logos from touching ladies’ bums.
DHS never should have been created and it needs to be shut down.
Hell we have terrorists in our own administration running Homeland Security and running around as pals with the Secretary of State. Our own legislators are receiving millions in donations from the Muslim activist organizations. Evenour own government has no problems at all with terrorists unless you’re of the consevative patriot variety. Yeah I think we might have a problem...
Why didn’t Coburn speak up sooner?
Yeah, we have a problem. And sometimes, it seems like those of us at FR are the only people who see it. *sigh*

We just point out what’s painfully obvious to anyone that has a functioning brain between their ears...
The only ‘terrorists’ those folks recognize are Republicans who use words like ‘Constitution’...
DHS has the same headcount as the USMC and twice their budget.
There are people who seem to have functioning brains who don’t see it. I’ve run into more than I’d like and it’s frustrating. In some cases, they’re people who just don’t pay attention to what’s going on and in other cases, they’re people who are in denial or something. Can’t quite figure them out.
But I want to take a 2 x 4 to all their heads to knock some sense into them! LOL!

Just make sure it’s hardwood. Pine is too soft for them...: )
I’ll just yank a plank off our barn. If their heads break that, they’re a lost cause. :-D
