Barack H. Obama is the Greatest President of Modern Times (No, it is no satire)

It is difficult to compare presidents outside of a narrow context of time. It is like trying to compare baseball players, like Ruth and Aaron, or football players, like Johnny Unitas and Peyton Manning. For athletes, the games they play were different then; and for presidents, not only the country, but the world is different.

There is no way of knowing how a president today would have fared when faced with the prospect of the First or Second World War, or how they would have handled the advent of the Cold War with the Soviet Union. These are answers we can never have answered, and speculation is pointless. Despite any internal similarities, the external contexts cannot be ignored: Korea is not Vietnam and Vietnam is not Iraq.

What we can do is judge them by their accomplishments, by how they faced the challenges of their time. Coming off arguably one of the most disastrous presidencies in our history, that of George W. Bush, who cut taxes yet involved us in two un-paid for wars, and crashed our economy and that of the rest of the world as a result, we found ourselves with our nation’ first black president.

For the gazillionth time, near the end of Bush’s presidency, the deficit was in the $200 to $300 billion/year range *and dropping*, UNTIL we got to the budgets put in place by Reid and Pelosi (FY 2007) after they took over in the election of 2006.

Bush deserves some of the blame for signing the damn things, but trillion dollar budget deficits were a donkeycrat creation, starting with the gross overspending in FY 2007, continuing through Porkulus, and perpetuated in continuing resolutions through most of Oloser’s tenure.

After the slowest recovery on record, yes, the economy has started to pick up, mostly due to exploitation of domestic energy sources, carried out by private industry (yes, they did build that) despite continual roadblocks set in their way by the regime and their enviro-loonie allies.

They nabbed themselves an ideologue and are happy he is an even purer socialist with a megadose of social liberalism than their wildest dreams. Plus he doesn’t mind lying and bending (breaking) rules to get what he wants.

So much for the theory that moderates win and keep people happy.

“Bush deserves some of the blame for signing the damn things,”

Bush deserves 100% of the blame for inheriting a balanced budget and then doubling the federal deficit on his watch. He had a veto pen and didn’t use it. He can’t even say he tried. The Republican Congress led by Hastert and Frist was spending freely, setting the tone for the reckless spending to follow. Bush could and should have reigned them in with vetoes but chose not to.

Reid and Pelosi merely built on what had already been created. Somehow I don’t recall any budget veto showdowns during the two years Reid and Pelosi controlled Congress.

History demonstrates George W. Bush was a big spending, big government president. Actions speak louder than words. Bush’s behavior was no different than any free spending Democrat.

The kook who characterized the wars as "unpaid-for" just loves Hillary Clinton, the woman who voted for the "unpaid-for" wars.

Yes, liberals are that stupid.

“And this, folks, is how the terminally stupid think.”

The article is basically a portrait of mental illness.

Obammy ramped up the war in Afghanistan, launched a war on Libya (and got our ambassador there killed as well as supporting the torture/abuse/murder of a POW named Momar Gadaffi), tried to launch a war on Syria, etc.

This whole bit about Bush’s war is a load of crap with no justification or defense of Obama’s OWN military exploits.

The article is basically a portrait of mental illness.

I agree. As proof I offer that this article comes to me via a Harvard educated man who believes its every word. He also said Hillary is the "Most qualified in America to be the next president". If that is not clear evidence of mental illness I don't know what is.
