I am not sure if its the same in all states (probably not). If the legislature hands him a bill and he neither signs nor vetoes, then by default does it die or become law? He may just be trying to avoid union protests in the election cycle years.

Gov. Walker allowed his Capitol Building to get trashed to the tune of $7M.

Allowed?! Allowed?!

The capitol police told his men to stand down. If you weren't in the area at the time, and ESPECIALLY if you are letting Yahoo! decaffeinate and process your reporting on the episode, you have no idea how HARD the protesters were trying to make Walker take his eye off the ball. He kept his powder dry, and the bill has been passed and upheld, and Walker thrived through the recall.

He played it his way, and he showed the Madison whackos for what they were.

Governor Rick Snyder (R-MI) got Right-To-Work done in Michigan and the state is now starting to see the benefits.

Walker I think wants to rest on his laurels while he preps for the GOP Presidential Primary.

Somehow I am not sure he rises to the intensity and acumen of superstar Ted Cruz. Ted can be incredibly insightful and clear, but he can also be a laugh riot like Reagan.

I’m not sure Scott Walker is what we need in the Oval Office. Maybe as VP but I don’t think he’s quite ready for primetime as President.

Looks like a hit piece on Walker to me. The source alone is enough to make me question the content. Leftist leaning Yahoo/AP have a track record worthy of question.

Okay than have Romney, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie or some other GOPe. The others that are lining up for 2016 are crappatcular

No Thanks!!!

I want only the best, ONLY Cruz will do!

Why would I accept a less than stellar candidate when we already have one in Senator Ted Cruz?!!

I can guarantee you that he would not have backed away from a fight where "Right to Work" is concerned.

Cruz is head and shoulders better than the governors Walker, Pence, Perry, or Christie.

True, but if the fact that he does not want to affirm “right to work”, than it is a sure sign of weakness on his part. If he does not want to pass it now, he needs to give a good reason than something like not “rocking the boat”. We do not need another spineless NE Republican as a Presidential candidate.

He may just be trying to avoid union protests in the election cycle years.

He needed to just say nothing, he chose to make a statement that RTW was just a diversion from his personal agenda.

He said what he said now he has to deal with it.

Could you imagine a recall effort while he’s running for POTUS? It’s a political nightmare and something very realistic given Wisconsin’s nutty politics.

Those FReepers posting against Walker are politically naïve. This is a long game we’re in and it’s not going to be won in one fell swoop.

Think what Walker, a guy without a college degree, can do in DC. He’s the antithesis of the DC elite and his head is screwed on straight.

I could never understand why Walker didn’t call the National Guard. What a disgusting lot Americans are becoming. Can you imagine, after what happened, Walker didn’t win by 80-20%? You have to assume 20% imbeciles and scumbags, but they number over 45%!!

That’s very interesting and it could doom his potential candidacy. How did he manifest the massive support for amnesty?

Can a Michigan governor be forced into an election over and over again? Wisconsin is a liberal madhouse and Walker is a master strategist.

He has no college degree. He’s a real everyman who can carry Mike Lee’s conservative populism to America.

If he did the reverse, was AGAINST drug testing for welfare but FOR right to work...he’d be criticized for being a rino who would not take on the true conservative issues.

Right now amnesty and illegal immigration is being conducted by your elected reps and the current p_Resident - not by Gov. Walker - and these repeated lies about Gov. Walker and amnesty are provably false. This is an actual q & a from 11/24/14 from O’Reilly’s show spelling out Gov. Walker’s position (in sum - no legislation should even be considered AT ALL until and unless the border is secured)in fact his argument against open borders is the exact same one I see on FR daily:
