American State Legislators for Gun Violence Prevention (ASLGVP) is a giant new gun control group looking to attack gun rights in our states.

ASLGVP is made up of nearly 200 state legislators.

Their founder, Brian Kavanagh (D-NY), said, “We’ve come together in recognition of the essential role state legislators must play, whether or not Congress chooses to act, in reducing gun violence.”

They are telling us they do not need Congress to pass anti-gun laws. Congress could not fulfill their anti-gun agenda through so they are attacking our rights at the state level.

If these clowns were truly for “gun violence protection”, they would insist on jail for the criminals.

Instead they pretend that the “violence” is due to the existence of the gun.

And if the guns weren’t present there would be no violence or crime.

They claim 200 members yet they are afraid to publish their supporter’s names.

I call BS.

“Gun Violence Prevention” fanatics are not, of course, to be held RESPONSIBLE for the results if they get their way. Their dedication is the purity and nobility of their cause.
When their programs fail, it is not their fault, rather they have not gone far enough. Example...a city like Chicago, replite with “gun control” and tragically, equally replite with GUN USAGE and VIOLENCE.
Gun control advocates never cry out and demand harsher punishment for those who actually take part in and commit gun violence. Those perps are to be understood, sympathized with, and excused because it is NOT their fault, it is the fate they were dealt.
Rather, gun control laws are exclusively aimed at those who currently own and use their guns in perfectly legal ways. These are the citizens who would never wish to commit an illegal act regarding their gun.
There is a descriptive name for those who trumpet their “courage” when they propose laws that would be used to punish those who OBEY the laws.

How about caring about violence? That is, a human who deliberately, without justification, inflicts harm on another? They don’t care about that.

They only care about taking legal guns from non-violent law-abiding citizens and deliberately leaving them in the hands of violent criminals.

. . . they are attacking our rights at the state level.

IMO, they have found a chink in our armor - implementing via state initiatives, "Background Checks" among private parties, that use the 4473 form to create a gun registration list.

Worse yet, they are winning wherever they have tried it. The Gruberized voters believe the "gunshow loophole" lie or accept that such a law makes them "safer". Then we have the non-gun owners who don't give a damn if registration is involved.

We shouldn't waste our efforts fighting the ASLGVP, we should be after the NRA, GOA, et al to pressure our legislators to allow private citizens to access NICS without having the private buyer fill out a 4473. That would cut these phonies' off at the knees, since they piously state they they are only interested in the buyers' criminal or mental history.

Their founder, Brian Kavanagh (D-NY), said, “We’ve come together in recognition of the essential role state legislators must play, whether or not Congress chooses to act, in reducing gun violence.”

There are some seven thousand state legislators and most of those are now Republican. An example would be South Dakota with a Seventy member house, with count them, twelve Democrats. There are unfortunately close to forty of the remainder, who should have a D behind their name, and some at one time did.

When it comes to control of guns, one should remain constantly vigilant or the forgetful deceitful dishonest might just prevail. They are always at work against the triumvirate that protects us namely the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights.

Yup. The initiative process is true democracy where the IPOS’* get to determine what’s best for everybody. Even if they are fooled into backing it. Which is how the petition went in NV. The forces of evil tricked twice as many IPOS in to signing something they neither understood or cared to find out anything about. It was sold as “Putting and end to domestic violence and closing the gun show loophole.” The IPOS signed away like they were being given Macy’s shopping cards for free.

*IPOS=Ignorant Pieces Of Scat(or insert your own “S” word). I’ve decided that is what I will call them henceforth.
