Google Dachau. Our family saw it in the late 60’s when my Dad was stationed in Germany. I never forgot it. Or the price the Jews have paid, and are still paying, simply for being Jews. Saw Auchwitz/Birkenau in the 90’s. I couldn’t speak the entire day. Still have the aroma of ashes in my memory. It’s burned to my memory forever.
I have railroad tracks behind my house and find myself thinking now and then, what if those cars were full of human beings on their way to the slaughterhouse? It’s unimaginable, yet it happened. Still boggles my mind at times. It really IS unforgettable.
I never forget. My great grandparents were given official Vernichtungsdaten by their government. Extermination dates, in English. Like cockroaches. They were all three in their sixties. My beloved Opa was pulled out of his home in front of his children (including my dad at age 7) by the SS on Kristallnacht.
My dad saw the piles of belongings, nearly separated, at the train station. He was lucky: his father put him on the Kindertransport and he was sent out of the country to England to be raised by foster parents.
I do not think “That can’t happen here.” I used to.

So, no one should contribute to Europe’s economy by traveling there. There are plenty of wonderful places on earth to see and enjoy, without subsidizing such deeply rooted stupidity and hatred. They’d rather have Muzzies take over their country, indeed they hand over their countries lock, stock, and barrel to the Muzzies on a platter. Let’s see where that brain drain leaves them.
