You ARE a girl!!! Welcome to the club!!
C’mon, People!
Walker is right to pick his battles. He has shown that when it comes to fighting the big battles, he is a proven winner. Many times over. The fact that he has accomplished as much as he has in blue territory shows he understands the terrain and his constituents. Good for him.
Do you suffer from premature whatever?
Be patient. Relax.
"Whether right-to-work would, in fact, serve as a "distraction" from his agenda remains to be seen. But it is clear that a signing such a bill into law wouldn't be political suicide. A fellow Republican governor in a similarly-situated state, Michigan's Rick Snyder, withstood immense pressure and signed right-to-work legislation in 2012. Unions and Democrats screamed bloody murder. Snyder was re-elected in November by more than four points..."
Walker's getting cold feet at the very moment he should be striking hard.
You stop it.
No more RINOs.
Search “Adelson” as in “Sheldon” here in FreeRepublic. Read the FIRST article that comes up about Walker meeting with this guy.
I would add W Virginia to my above post. RTW being promulgated by a newly elected 18 year old!
Anyway, I think the real answer is post #8
He fought some tremendously good fights and survived a few extraordinary attacks. Let's not forget that he still has to operate in the dirty realm of politics if he is to stay relevant and viable - how about cutting the good guys some slack?
>> Let’s not forget that he still has to operate in the dirty realm of politics
Let’s not forget that his party controls the legislature.
>> if he is to stay relevant and viable...
What’s the point of “staying relevant and viable” if he doesn’t use the relevance and viability he’s already got to achieve the objectives he was hired to achieve? ?
>> ...how about cutting the good guys some slack?
How about demanding that “the good guys” press the issues they were elected to press? Otherwise they aren’t the good guys anymore.
But frankly, I don’t give a hoot what Scott Walker does to Wisconsin. I’m saying that he has been held up as a potential candidate for POTUS, but he is dead to me in national politics if he doesn’t strike communism in the form of labor unions a fatal blow while he has the unprecedented opportunity to do so.
It’s a personal choice — can you understand that? You do what you damn well please. If patience with ineffectual timid nice guys is your style, then back him for Ruler of the Universe. But I won’t.
Ouch!
Question: You have stated what you won't do - what is it that you will do to further the movement towards the Right? Do you have a viable plan or is it merely to "not do" certain things? "Not doing" is a sure fire losing game plan - what's the plan to do something that will be useful?
Many here seem to be content with waiting for a miracle where only the purest of the pure and the best of the best will magically appear on all the ballots and then stay at home rejoicing while others take action to go out and vote they will help ensure we lose even when all the cards and signs line up; probably so they can whine about how they really had no choice.
Walker was a shirker while Ted Cruz was fighting against Obamacare.
Walker shirks while Ted Cruz fights Amnesty.
Walker is now shirking in the fight for Right To Work.
Walker is a shirker when it comes to conservative causes...which is why he is being supported by the GOPe.
>> Do you have a viable plan
Why yes, I believe I do.
However, this thread is about SCOTT WALKER. Therefore I limited the scope of my comments to the topic of the thread, which is SCOTT WALKER.
Ted Cruz and Scott Walker are not at odds. They both do what they can with what they have. Walker has done more than most any conservative over the last four years.
He has no college degree. He beat Democrats to serve three terms in Milwaukee County, a county that has given its votes to the Dem Pres. candidate since 1960. It is a noted Dem stronghold, just like other counties dominated by urban socialists. He’s an Eagle Scout, too. What you claim are weaknesses are actually strengths.
How convenient - seems like a of of the folks who will tell us what won't work, always have an excuse or just plain silence when one wonders what they think it is that will work - seems a bit inane to be on FR and withhold the solution.
Whatever. Call it like you see it.
I have these discussions quite frequently with folks here and in person who are capable.
On the other hand, I have identified you as a demagogue and I don’t plan on wasting any more precious time on you.
Have a blessed day.
What ARE you trying to do, Scott?
“You ARE a Nervous Tick!!”
A what?
Very well - I will also stop seeing if I can stir up any positive/productive thoughts in your conveniently shielded mind.
