They’re not allowed weapons in a precinct?

Was the cop not armed? Perps attacking police officers need to be shot in self-defense. Are cops being successfully cowed into not defending themselves?

He didn’t happen to say “I’ll be back” in an Austrian accent, did he?

They are looking for Devon Cooley who made a threat online.

They put out an APB on a guy in Memphis for a threat but he claimed he was high and drunk when he posted it.

I think it is time for the police to just walk off the job in certain areas.

Well, there are more than 50,000 cops in NYC. You would expect some number of them to be assaulted simply from the law of large numbers.

It’s not normal, but back when black radicals were attacking the cops in the 1960s and 70s, they’d often walk into a precinct house and just kill the first people they saw, usually just the desk officer and anybody around him.

Time to take up our twitter accounts and demand the Mayor step down as he is keeping the Police Commissioner from taking the proper action in NYC....this requires someone with some common sense.

1. curfews
2. attacks on police not tolerated.
3. Sharpton arrested.
4. time to take the offensive by NYPD.

Let them do it....In a short time you’d have regular citizens coming to the aid of officers. Can a citizen kill the perp attacking a police man/woman “accidentally”?

"Perps attacking police officers need to be shot in self-defense."

Yeah, I agree with you - they should be shooting to kill ANYONE who attacks them unprovoked - the word should go out on the street. This is getting ridiculous!

I might agree but that would only raise the risk of danger on those officers who do not walk off...

Really, honestly, people should be tried for inciting riots and mayhem or at least, socially ostracized. I haven’t peaked in at MSNBC to see what they are doing but it certainly applies.

Speaking at a police promotions ceremony on Friday, the mayor seemed to provide an unwitting preview of his Saturday remarks. “Any act of violence against our police officers,” he told a packed auditorium at Police Headquarters in Lower Manhattan, “is an act of violence against our values."

Both he and Obama talk about things being against our values or that isn't what our values are.

I have to finally ask this. What are our values that you guys are talking about? You guys never specify what those values are. I only know that whatever they are, they are your values and not mine. I consider mine to be certainly different.

In closing, both of these guys have unleashed the dogs of war on the citizens of this nation. Now they may reap what they have sown.

They’re probably limited to specific areas without a lot of public traffic.

I know locally our sheriff’s department doesn’t allow guns in the lobby. The cop at the desk keeps his gun but he’s in a more secure area. Kinda the same reason prison guards don’t carry firearms among the prisoners.

"They’re not allowed weapons in a precinct?"

Of course they are. However, crazies are free to walk around like anyone else and commit what ever surprise attack because our PC laws and policies won't allow to make examples by hanging them in public.

We need to go back to Earp days where they wouldn't put up with murderous cowards and just killed them. Don't bother, I know the whole OK Corral (actually Lot #42) story from the most documented books on record.
