.....Since the recession began in December 2007, 1.2 million net jobs have been created in Texas. Only 700,000 net jobs have been created in the other 49 states combined.........

Only North Dakota has outpaced Texas on percent job growth, thanks to jobs created by the fracking revolution. California, Texas’ biggest economic rival, has created 985,600 fewer net jobs during the same period. California’s 1.5 percent job growth is ten percentage points lower than Texas’ percent job growth.............................

The ND boom is demand-driven, while the TX growth is a nice blend of economic incentives and other exogenous factors besides demand.

To include an insufferable number of immigrants from liberal states who came here because they couldn’t find work in their home state.

The difference in electricity rates can keep this going, if red states concentrate on price rather than warming themselves through smug satisfaction.

If Maine's governor, Paul LePage, would find some manhood and tell the EPA to get the hell out of Maine and then fire everyone in the Maine DEP, Maine would lead the nation in employment.

But alas, it seems that once anyone gives his, her, or it's life to the god of politics, he , she or it gives up his balls as well.

Amen; it’s been my opinion for several years that ICE is patrolling the wrong River. Should be up on the Red River......

This makes sense now, all the efforts the Democrats are going through to eliminate Rick Perry. I mean, if I were a sleazy Democrat who hated Republicans, I would build up a phony charge, get a partisan Grand Jury to indict Rick and try to get him convicted of something because he is doing way too good for the state and ultimately the country.

Not exactly - true liberals hate Texas and wouldn’t come here. Some liberals I know left Texas and went to New York State and now they are happy. They couldn’t stand to live in Texas.

They must not hate it that much, since they are flocking here in droves to escape their own undoing.

Where are the Florida numbers...Gov Scott is doing one hell of a job. .....700,000 jobs created...5.8% unemployed.
He’s another good Republican manager, very much like Jeb Bush.
