When I was in high school and did not pack a lunch, the fries and pizza slices were the only thing they couldn't F up.

No eating discipline, no all out exercise, so they lower the caloric intake.

We had all of them in the '50s and '60s and most of us were a lot healthier than today's crop. Of course, it was pre-lite/fake sugar/soy, etc., and we played outside for as long as our folks would let us.

My grandmother once told me that if I didn’t cook with olive oil, be sure to take a tablespoon of it every day. This was before the benefits of olive oil appeared in the media. I never did that. I also never poured the pot liquor from cooking greens into a glass and drank it.
