“That article never got to the point - stating how the Democrats can win the South.”
Somewhere in the article the idea is to get a pile of persons to turnout who support Democrat crap in the polling but don’t show up at the polls!

“A real populist can wreck havoc on both parties, probably splitting the R vote.”
One of the books that helped me really understand why I was conservative was written back in 1983 by Richard Viguerie, one of the leaders of the Conservative Right at the time.
He wrote “The Establishment vs The People: is a New Populist Revolt on The Way?”.
You can get the book for cheap on Amazon or perhaps it’s available at your local library. Som e of his talking points are a bit dated (considering the book was written 30 years ago) but all in all, the main gist of the message remains true.
The GOP could do quite well electorally if we’d heed Viguerie’s message.

He made his unremarkable goal clear, it was the plan he never got around to. But clearly it involves taking some stuff from people who vote elsewhere and giving it to the people he wants to vote the way he likes.

Yup. Which is precisely why Fauxcahontas scares me.

Somewhere along the way, the party of Andrew Jackson, William Jennings Bryan, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Robert F. Kennedy became a defender of the banks and the pharmaceutical companies, comfortable among the rich, and ashamed of the working class. And thats when Democrats lost the South. Yeah, the demoncraps got taken over by the marxist-alinsky-organizers.

Converse logic would say that liberal economic issues don’t fire them up, otherwise they’d be voting Democratic.

It always seems to me that when lefties use their demented logic to discern what the nonvoters want or think, they are full of BS. They obviously have no clue.

Also do they think that prescription drugs are too expensive and too hard to get, or too cheap and too easy to get? They seem to be implying both.

Import central Americans, off shore factories and close down coal mines. What could go wrong?

Yes of course Democrats will be competitive in West Virginia, now sit down and stay still so the staff can tie your shoes.
