You don’t want America to Win?
I cheer God to win, and to bring America along if possible. Perhaps its people have already resolved themselves to lose, and not even God will dishonor their resolution.
It’s quite simple: if a nation, any nation, not just America (it’s not ALL about us), chooses to reject God...
God gives them what they ask for, like, leaders that hate Christ, that is, they reject God.
There are numerous examples of this concept throughout the Bible.
If a nation stands in rejection of God, it is subject at any time to temporal judgement (meaning not final judgement, but getting either destroyed, if a completely heathen nation (like Sodom), or just chastised, e.g., attacked, enslaved, starved, etc., if God so wills it).
It’s God that gives prosperity and peace (respite from enemies).
So if a nation rejects God - can they say they are surprised if their peace and prosperity are removed ?
If mommy and daddy buy ice cream cones, and one kid misbehaves and says he hates mommy and daddy, and they then take away his ice cream cone, there’s nothing wrong with that chastisement. You don’t like mommy and daddy, you then are rejecting their gifts to you.
All nations are under Jesus’ reign from heaven (see the Bible for undeniable verses on this)...
though in the last 2,000 years of history one sees ups and downs in nations accepting or rejecting Christ.
America may be purged and cleansed, then after a long time, have a revival and see godliness once again in the land.
The revival always precedes any real, lasting peace and prosperity.
We had boom times recently in the 1990s. God makes it rain on both the evil AND the good. It’s all a gift, a blessing that is undeserved, because all fall short of the glory of God; no one merits the gifts of God. It lasts for a while. Then, those who reject and hate Christ - despite the wonderful blessings God bestowed during the “good times”... those who think MEN achieved the blessings themselves (they thus implicitly reject God himself)... well, they will come under judgement.
This process keeps repeating.
