There are some possible hints of America as a minor player. The bear and its cubs (England and former colonies), the coastlands.
We need to keep humble and always begging our Lord for blessings if we want to see our days prolonged in blessing. America was a great example of what a country launched upon gospel beliefs might look like, within the limits of human fallenness. It is right now a great example of what a country that is jettisoning gospel beliefs will look like. We see the promise and the warning played out.
By claiming too much for America we end up with nothing.
Really, agape would desire blessing to the whole world, without partiality. But this blessing will work to it only as far as the world is willing to accept.
So if I sit on by backside and accept God’s help in feeding, clothing and sheltering myself, He will provide?

The illusory promise of the serpent in the garden never warned humanity that the result would be beyond humanity’s capacity to manage. God was correct: it would kill humanity. A lack of humility — we can not grasp enough of an infinite reality to guarantee our fates on our own, and therefore cannot formulate a foolproof notion of good and evil.
I’m trying to be helpful. If we “bump our butts” or “hump” or whatever but it isn’t being led along by the blessing of God, then God will NOT help us... except perhaps in mercy to force us to stop long enough to take stock.
