These Las Vegas businesswomen take their (gun)shots seriously

Karissa Neff and Sara Shertz drive away from the hustle and bustle, down a lonely stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard South until they reach their turn-off, a road where asphalt meets gravel. It’s late afternoon and their truck is loaded with about a dozen semi-automatic handguns, revolvers, and bolt action and high-powered rifles.

A utopia for gun enthusiasts seeking outdoor target practice, the location near Sloan is barren isolation with a touch of lawlessness. Pockmarked by divots and peppered debris, the off-road stretch is lined with pickup trucks and empty ammunition shells.

For the women of Gun Play Vegas, it’s just another day at the office.

“He actually told me I was too dainty to shoot,” said Neff, stretching

Then these 3 women should be right out front in fighting the upcoming BS background check initiative. The legislature will probably not enact it and it will end up on the ‘16 ballot for the no/low voters to decide. We need some counter weight to the truckloads of cash that nannie bloomers and his ilk will be bringing in. The anti’s outspent the pro gun folks better than 10 to 1 in WA. Good idea for a business,but the whining about sexist instructors is off-putting if not completely disingenuous.

I haven’t seen sexist behavior at any range—for some strange reason, loaded weapons seem to encourage courtesy.

I’m OK with safe firearms training for any & all responsible adults, but if they are shooting on public land, pick up your brass & leave the place as cleaner than it was when you got there.
