CNSNews.com) - Earlier this week Rep. Paul C. Broun (R-Ga.) suggested the proper payback to President Barack Obama’s unilateral move on immigration reform might be to not allow him to deliver his State of the Union address in the House chamber in January. (Protocol demands that a sitting president be invited by the House to address a joint session of Congress)

But House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) nixed the idea to deny Obama his annual bully pulpit, saying he doesn’t want to stop the president from talking about his ideas.

The GOPe won’t do anything to risk their EXEMPT status. Easier than a $5 prostitute.

Tell him to write a letter. If it was good enough for George Washington...

I agree on this one -

Know when to hold ‘em
Know when to fold.

Pick you battles -
Let the petty ones go

The leadership of the Republican Party is gutless. Denying him the forum of addressing Congress would be an excellent way to send a message to his lordship.

I believe it was Boehner who said he was going to let Obama talk about his ideas because the more he talked (Obama) the stupider he looked.

GOPers should show up and text on their smartphones though out the speech.

Yeah, it would be foolish to not invite him. However I certainly wouldn’t be terribly upset if a lot of republicans found more pressing matters to attend to.

What a wuss. The only truth ever spoken at BO’s SOTUA was Joe Wilson’s immortal exclamation, “YOU LIE,”. When Obama said that no illegals would not get ObamaCare.

I guess Boehner likes being insulted, and having the Supreme Court insulted, by this imposter.

Yes. The only difference is that the Dems play to win. The GOPers look for ways for forfeit.

The address fulfills rules in Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution. Let’s not take Obama’s slippery slope away from the Constitution.

The Reps say there will be no government shutdown and no impeachment. We have a tyrant in the WH who ignores the Rule of Law and writes his own, How and when will the so-called opposition party stop kowtowing and show some resistance?

It would be a great idea not to invite him and to explain to the public why. The Reps will be in control of Congress for the SOU. They are pathetic.

There were those on this forum that attempted to tell the sheep that was what the Republicans would before the election. To no avail. In fact, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky insulted and slandered Conservatives to the point that if this had happened in the early 1800s, duels would have been fought.
