Greedy putzes know the only way to give them a raise would be to raise taxes. No thanks.

I didn’t see a choice for -10.25% so I didn’t vote.

In a fair society, public school teachers would be paid what their labor is worth, but heck, they’ve gotta eat.

California has the highest paid teachers. They need a private sector wage and no union.

I’d tie teachers’ raises to enlisted military’s raises.
After all teachers believe they are as or more important/vital to the future of the country as the military. That protects their asses.

They should get two types of raises - cost of living on a yearly basis and others based on years wasted of "service".

San Diego? Same as the Marines and sailors who live there. What is that, about 1%? How much has inflation cut their income in the last 10 years, so make it a negative if they have only gotten raises.
To: South40
0% is up to 55% of votes. Comments are good, too.
To: South40
0 54% (208)
5.5% 21% (80)
10.25% 11% (45)
More than 10.25% 12% (47)

San Diego, also known as “Enron by the Sea”, is a financial nightmare. No money to give raises to teachers? Who cares? Give it to them anyway. They are demanding 10% when others have received pay cuts? Who cares? Give it to them anyway. These union goons want what they want and they want it even though they know it is not there to give.
