Language alert! Bad word mentioned more than 863 times in the linked articled. There are even flow-charts and graphs with the phrase.

But very funny point was made about the validity of citing "peer-reviewed" journals, valuable when somebody attempts to use the phrase "peer reviewed" to shut off debate about an article's content.

Hilarious.

Dare I say, this journal is probably required reading at the IRS.

From the article;

“Moreover, dubious medical cures and climate change denial published in these places sometimes gets a run in popular media with people thinking it has been genuinely peer reviewed.”

Climate change denial?

Thanks to the Internet, now you too can participate. Below is a link to a random text generator. Every time you reload the page, you'll get a different random learned paper. Simply cut and paste, then send it to your favorite lib learning institution.

Who knows, perhaps you'll get a PhD out of it.

When I was a graduate student, it used to flummox me how poorly-written and researched most “peer-reviewed” essays truly were. This does not surprise me.

IFLScience is a religiously pro-global-warming site, where dissent is viewed upon as heresy.

Apparently, they don't seem to realize that this story shoots holes in the manic adherence the AGW crowd invests in the term "peer reviewed".

It's an otherwise entertaining site, with plenty of good information along with their dogma.
