Status of Alaska Senate race (no updates for 36 hours)

Does anyone have any idea why the election results for the Alaska Senate race (and all other races in that state) haven't been updated since Tuesday night? They managed to go through a little over 20,000 ballots on Tuesday, but nothing else since. It sounds like they have anywhere from 20,000 to 35,000 more ballots to count. Did they announce they would continue the counting at a later date?

News agencies declared the winner(s). The state of Alaska has not officially declared anything.

Right, the votes will still be counted so there can be an official winner. Hopefully the Democrats didn’t steal this one.

Looks like from Alaska's elections homepage that they will be counting tommorrow (November 14) and next Monday through Wednesday (November 17-19).
The former (November 14)is based on the deadline to receive absentee by mail ballots postmarked within the United States, and the latter (November 19) is based on the deadline to receive absentee by mail ballots postmarked outside the United States.

It looks like Republican Parnell lost re-election to the independent Walker (46.3% to 47.9%).
Parnell was Sarah's Lt. Governor and finished out her term when she resigned. I understand that she supported Walker because Parnell rolled back some of her populist actions regarding oil company revenues.

Sullivan will win, the lead is insurmountable based upon previous counts. The only way it could be different is with massive fraud. You can bet your behind the State up here will be on that like stink on crap.
Sullivan will be the winner, and it’s all a dog and pony show until it is certified up until the 28th.

Sullivan prepares to take Senate seat while Begich campaign remains hopeful
Challenger Dan Sullivan declared victory Wednesday in his campaign to oust incumbent U.S. Sen. Mark Begich, and he flew to Washington, D.C., to help select leaders of the new Republican-controlled Senate.
Sullivan, a Republican, made the declaration after maintaining a significant lead over Begich with the counting of some 17,000 ballots on Tuesday, and The Associated Press called the race in his favor. Begich, a Democrat, on Wednesday refused to concede. His campaign stressed that tens of thousands of votes remain to be counted, with ballots in key areas that traditionally trend Democratic relatively undercounted so far.

It sounds like they have anywhere from 20,000 to 35,000 more ballots to count. Good God... WTH is with those people up there? Let me guess... only one is doing any counting and the other officials are lined up out the door waiting their turn.
I know this is wild, out-of-the-box thinking, but... might giving a stack each to 10 or 15 counters .. y'know.. speed the process along?

Today's ballot deliveries from Shemya. Final count should be wrapped up sometime in August... of 2028.
