Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who turned his stunning victory in the 2008 Iowa caucuses into a thriving talk show career, is reconnecting with activists and enlisting staff to position himself in a growing field of potential Republican presidential candidates.

This week, Huckabee is leading more than 100 pastors and GOP insiders from early primary states on a 10-day overseas trip with stops in Poland and England.

Huckabee’s newly formed non-profit advocacy group, America Takes Action, has begun to serve as an employment perch for his political team, recently bringing on a number of experienced campaign operatives.

His chances are on a par with Pat Paulsen but at least Paulsen was mildly entertaining.

Both seek nothing more than table scraps of publicity. Beats working.

That’s cool. /s We endure 6 years of an evil tyrant and suffer immensely - he and others like him go money grubbing to Fox News and have a good ole time.

So, now when Americans have said “enough” he thinks he can dip his ladle in the trough and do it all again with the same creeps, RINOs and opportunists we had in 2008 and 2012?

Not no, but hell no.

As an ardent social conservative, I think that Santorum has more street cred than Huckabee. There are also several conservatives with social conservative bona fides who would make better candidates, such as Cruz, Pence, Palin, and Jindal.

He’s in it until Fox says that they’ll have to drop his show. The Republican answer to how stupid are the American people?

What worries me is Huckabee is still very popular with the GOP caucus going Social Conservatives in Iowa.

We need ONE true conservative running against 3 establishment types instead of the other way around.

Nearly 3-dozen Republican wannabe names have been mentioned in various articles. The debate stages are going to be so crowded that each one might get 20 seconds to answer 2 or 3 questions.

==

The big issue is attracting the moneymen to one’s candidacy.

Look for wannabes to start announcing their candidacies soon to capture the momentum early.

==

Larry Kudlow concluded this:

For 2016, Hillary Had the Worst Night
but voters said no to Christie, Bush, Paul, and Perry.

Huckabee is scheduled to spend part of November holding private meetings with powerful GOP financiers in Las Vegas, New York, and California, gauging their interest in being bundlers for his possible campaign...

Huckabee will have no problem finding money to campaign in Iowa and South Carolina.

Hell, the RNC (and the DNC) would fund him to split the conservative vote.

And, once his job as "spoiler" has been completed and Jeb Bush (or Chris Christie, or Mitt Romney) has secured the nomination, The Huckster will retire back to Destin.
