Maine to hold recounts for three Senate races

Maine officials will conduct recounts in three races for the state Senate.

In District 11, Democrat Jonathan Fulford challenged the outcome in his campaign against Senate Republican Leader Michael Thibodeau. Unofficial results show Thibodeau winning by 115 votes.

A recount will also be done for District 21, where unofficial results show Democrat Nathan Libby defeating Republican Patricia Gagne by 64 votes.

The third race is in District 25, where Democrat Catherine Breen beat Republican Cathleen Manchester by seven votes. If the results remain the same, Republicans will control the Senate with 20 members, compared with 15 Democrats.

Corrupt Holder will make certain enough faked
ballots are prepared at the DO”J” and delivered with his
black Panthers to fix any “election”.

This corruption has been seen repeatedly.

Yeah, they’re gonna find votes in the back of a car. I’m considering these lost.

In two of the races, the democart leads so there would be no point to stuff the ballot box. Maine has a very controlled recount process since we had a problem about 20 years ago. I have never heard of a complaint from either side on unfairness in doing a recount which are run by the Secy of State’s office. The Elections Director has worked for both the Dem and Rep Secy of States over the last 10 years. I have full faith that she will run the recounts cleanly.

Lastly, in Maine their cannot be new ballots that were not previosly counted. They have to have existed in the count on election day to be counted. Vote totals will likely decrease as invalid ballots are thrown out.

These recount episodes are always the same. Democrats mysteriously find a box or two of ballots in someone's trunk or behind a fax machine and they "just happen" to be almost all for the democrat.

Of course the courts see nothing wrong with a good search effort.

Thank-you for posting.

I live in Maine, and this is the first I’ve heard about these pending recounts.

Like you said, in two of the Maine Senate races, the democrat leads. The other race, even if the win flips from the GOP to the dems, the Maine Republicans will still have won control of the Maine Senate.

Why is it whenever there are recounts in Democrat controlled counties/states that the Dems always find more votes for themselves and never for the opposing party???

Democrats are good at some things and bad at some other things.

But one thing they are very, very good at is stealing close elections like these.

Sounds like Maine actually knows what they’re doing. Would be great if more states adopted that.
