He wasn't Senate Majority leader before the election, so he didn't need to be Alinskied, and smeared as "a hypocrite".
Time to find a tie-in to Halliburton, and the Koch brothers...
Say, thenation.com, if you're looking for other stories about politicans with ties to crime syndicates, might I suggest you send a reporter or two to a little place called Chicago?
No, it's HIS PERSONAL ship. Usually, he keeps it in his bathtub next to his Koch Brothers dolls, under the Halliburton posters. LOL! :)
Contraband goods are smuggled on all kinds of ships, planes, and trains owned by various companies and people. Did Mitch place the coke on the boat? Did his wife? Or her parents?
Then Fugeddaboutit!!!
Good freaking grief!!! How the Hell does this stain McConnell??
No, it's about right. He hasn't been elected Majority leader yet.
I'll take that cumulative "R" number.

A reporter had reputedly found one tainted grape in an entire load leading to the hold of Chilean grapes for some time. There is more to the story but here is the link in the LA Times: http://articles.latimes.com/1994-12-31/news/mn-14948_1_california-grapes
?
My neighbor Dan has money in a mutual fund. One of the companies in the mutual fund is Ford. There was a Ford Mustang pulled over and the guy was busted with 2 pounds of marijuana.
My neighbor Dan is a drug smuggler even though I know he is opposed to legalization of marijuana.
Uh, she is Taiwanese.
She was born there.
Planted.....90lbs is nothing.
Totally stupidity media spin. Ship-owners have NO control over what is smuggled onboard their ships. NOT even the captains, it’s all done by the liberals long shore men!!!
However, they forget to mention that FDR sent a lot of Jews back to Hitler’s gas chambers when begging for asylum here in the U.S., hmmm???
You don’t know or understand the history or sociopolitical dynamics of Taiwan-China.
Her family is Chinese. And they are Shanghainese.
They went to Taiwan after the Communsust took over in 1949. They then moved to the US. They are not Taiwanese.
These 49ers identify as Chinese, not Taiwanese.
She is friends, via her father and family, with a large number of Chinese Communists including former Premier Jiang Zemin, another Shanghainese whom her father knew in college.
The political animosities between the exiled Chiangmai Kai-shek supporters has dissipated over the decades.
She was on record condemning the Cox report as demonization of China and has spoken how American Christians and Human Rights supporters like to demonize China to create an enemy.
I don’s say these things to fully condemn her. I generally like her as far as US politics as she is relatively conservative (albeit GOPe).
But when it comes to China she is pro-China and supportive of engagement and ties and does not condemn the Chinese Communists.
She doesn’t really differ from the mainstream of the US foreign policy establishment, Democrat or Republican. For example she said Clinton’s policy on China was good, but criticized him for it not being robust enough compared to what the Bush administration could do, or had done under HW Bush.
She was, though, quite critical of conservative critics of Clinton’s China policies.
She doesn’t take much an a public role in US discussions on China policy. But she has given many interviews to Chinese language media wherein she has made these views clear.
Excuse any typos, I am pressed for time.
It’s an interesting subject and Chao is not atypical by any means except in the very high levels of associations with the Chinese Communists.
(And by the way, this thread’s original article is a bunch of hooey).
Mitch should be replaced as leader of the senate only until this can be completely investigated, it shouldn’t take more than six years minimum.
This goes back a few years, but my memory is that her dad and the premier of China were close personal friends from college days, and her dad had a lot of investments on the mainland.
My memory from when she took over the “China” desk at Heritage was that they suddenly softened their position on Taiwan versus China. Like I say, this goes back a few years, but from my memory that was the criticism at the time. McConnell is not going to be a big spokesman for Taiwanese independence.
Maybe someone else can remember the details.
Any ship trades north coast Colombia will have someone put blow on it at some point
This means nothing
I just saw your post 75 after I wrote my 77. Good post. Your comment matches my understanding of the situation.
Could have been planted there by political enemies.
Innocent until proven guilty.
