Roberts, your problem was not that you weren’t conservative. It was that

A) You are too quiet and not forceful enough. You don’t have to be young to throw bombs. Just look at Sessions.

B) You fell out of touch with your constituents and didn’t spend enough time in the state.

I hope you have genuinely taken to heart what the voters told you on Tuesday. You will be retiring soon likely, and it would be good to close on a high note, letting Kansans see a bold Pat Roberts who cares about the things that Kansans value.

“I’ve heard my marching orders loud and clear,” Roberts, a Marine veteran, said during his Tuesday evening victory speech. “I will be bold. I will be conservative. And I will be constructive.”
Really. For an old fogey RHINO, that is surprising and welcomed. If that is your affirmation, what were you before that?

This is why it is/was worth voting for RINO’s if that’s all there is to vote for. The conservative wind is blowing, so those without will simply bend with the wind.

Heard loud and clear but it won’t affect his votes in the Senate.

Roberts has had a reasonably good conservative voting record and the indications are it’s going to get even more conservative. So his reelection victory (by a huge margin) was good news.

Unlike Cochran in Mississippi, Roberts is neither corrupt or in the early stages of dementia.

Sen. Pat Roberts (R-KS) declared that he heard his "marching orders" from Kansas voters to be conservative.

And if the voters are too busy living their lives, raising their kids and trying to make ends meet to babysit Sen Roberts, will he stop "being" conservative? How about being a conservative because you personally believe that conservative principles and practices are best, not because you might lose your job if voters pay attention?

“I will be bold. I will be conservative. And I will be constructive.”

He’s lying. Too many people e-mailing and calling him.
He just wants to be able to use the phone
and get his internet bandwidth back. That’s all.

On the plus side for Roberts he doesn’t have to come back to Kansas for another 6 years.

Gotta ping Impy to this one.

"U.S. Senator Pat Roberts, in keeping with his campaign promise, has introduced his first bill of the new Congress -- sweeping legislation to fight overly burdensome regulations issued by the Obama Administration which hurt the nation’s struggling economy."

Uh oh. Bad news for the Roberts haters. He's now safely been sworn in for a second term, doesn't have to face Kansas voters for another six years (if ever, since the odds are he will retire next time) -- and yet he's NOT behaving like the "liberal RINO" you falsely smeared this good man as. Rather, he's still the solid conservative voice he's ALWAYS been.

A lot of us who have ACTUAL RINOs "representing" us in the Senate (for example, I have abortion loving gun grabbing socialist Mark Kirk) would crawl over broken glass to have a Senator as "bad" as Roberts.

I might remind you that the Bible tells us "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor." Shame on you for trying to purge a great conservative while worthless RINOs who truly DESERVE to lose were given a complete pass.

In the meantime, your crow is served. Eat up, gentleman. You'll be having a lot of it over the next six years:
