The author is naive -- there are no problems for creationists. Because no matter how much evidence accumulates, they will still find a way to ignore it. The scientific question was settled more than a century ago.

I’m confused. Did we crawl out of the ocean or into it or did we play around going back and forth?

I wouldn’t expect anything different than “the science is settled” out of a rigged intellectual game.

There is NO problem for us Creationists. Who made the animal now fossilized in the first place? I think God did that. See? No problem.

“The scientific question was settled more than a century ago”

Yeah the science is settled, the consensus has been reached...evolution happened...thus there is no God../s

Sounds like the reasoning of Global warmists.....the science is settled, the consensus has been reached...men caused global warming and if you disagree with Hanson’s thermal “hockey stick” we will get the Democrats to pass a law to put you in jail(and there is no God)...../double sarcasm!

I didn’t think evolutionists admitted there were any missing links. I guess there aren’t until they find one? Now we are back to no missing links?

I laugh at these headlines concerning creationists.

As if there weren’t any problems with proving evolution was the source of the human species.

I view this sort of information and file it away.

My God and I will discuss it at some future point.

“Many creationists have tried to portray ichthyosaurs as being contrary to evolution...”

That’s not why. They like to argue the point because, ‘Ichthyosaurus’ is so much fun to say!

Say it with me... :)

The scientific question was settled...

The most arrogant statement ever uttered from the feeble mind of mankind.

“The scientific question was settled more than a century ago.”

Really? Then why do you - and the author of this piece - feel it is necessary to keep addressing the issue? Obviously it isn’t “settled” except in the minds of those so indoctrinated.

Creationists do not ignore ‘evidence’ - they start from a different place — God exists, anything is possible in His plan — evolution/ Creation/ chance mutations — let’s see what the evidence reveals. Some Creationinsts are stricter than others.

Hard-core evolutionists who refuse to consider a Divine creation or Intelligent design start from a different premise — God does not exist, therefore the evidence must demonstrate the evolution of species by chance and environmental pressures.

Acquired traits are not inherited, and natural selection narrows the genome, and does not widen it, so per the genetics I studied, once the genes for gills are removed from a species’ genome, they cannot be reacquired. It is not logical that a the genome would allow a species to lose gills, grow lungs, lose lungs and grow gills. That simply doesn’t make sense. Maybe it does to you. Dunno.

I will ask you this: when the first fertile human ‘evolved’, with a genome different from its parents (different species) what did it mate with?

BTW, I am a physiologist by education (many years ago) and hold a great appreciation for the works of Dr. Francis Collins who risked his reputation to write a very readable book as a scientist making a case for faith in God. Dr. Collins has PhDs in physical, mathematical and natural science doctrines. He led the team that decoded the human genome. For him, based on that work, there is little doubt in his empirical mind, that God exists, He guided His creation, and He put information in all genomes via DNA. Collins does a good job casting doubt on the ‘science’ and modern theory of evolution by the way, and encourages natural and physical scientists to lose their faith in modern theories of evolution and its mechanisms.

Should you care to read it, search for The Language of God by Dr. Collins. Easy read for a scientist; a bit tough for the general public.

For a totally different way of covering the same topic, read Ann Coulter’s book Godless.

Enjoy your evening by asking an evolutionist to refute the notion of irreducible complexity. ;-)

Homo sapiens : New Latin, from Latin homo man + sapiens wise

Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

” Because no matter how much evidence accumulates, they will still find a way to ignore it. The scientific question was settled more than a century ago.”

Baloney.

In this new fossil, is there evidence that there is a biochemical progression of all of the protein, enzyme, and DNA replication pathways from the one organism to the other?

We have vast evidence for evolution. We have observed speciation. The fossil and geologic record supports evolution. Yet there is money to be made in creationism. Text books, lecture circuits, museums, etc. and there is no way the believers will ever turn away. Science is one of the greatest accomplishments of humans but none of it will be even listened to and is constantly ridiculed.

I’m a Christian and I don’t need science to prove my religion. Science can neither prove or disprove God or right and wrong.
