18-year-old Saira Blair, a Republican from West Virginia, just became the youngest elected lawmaker in the country after trouncing her 44-year-old Democratic opponent 63 percent to 30 percent to earn a seat in West Virginia’s House of Delegates.

This young woman sounds more sensible and makes more effective arguments than half of our Pubbie "leaders" 2x or 3x her age.
One can only hope she stays true to her principles and if so, has a long and effective career.

Her father is a state senator, and she won the Republican primary in a safe Republican district based on name recognition. The legislator whom she bumped off was equally conservative, pro-life, pro-second amendment.

Now they own the House delegation, the statehouse and one US Senate seat.
