Great news from the Pacific Ocean. If I’m not mistaken, Congresswoman-elect Amata will be the first Republican woman of Polynesian ancestry to serve in Congress. She’s a non-voting delegate, but she can vote in committee and speak on the floor and win is a win and I’m happy to have it.

I’m psyched that Amata defeated the despicable Faleomavaega. Delegates can’t vote on the floor, of course, but they do vote in committee, and I’m sure she’ll do a great job (she has lots of legislative experience through her work as a staffer).
