Can Obama Reboot? Does he even want to?
Politco ^ | November 02, 2014 | GLENN THRUSH and CARRIE BUDOFF BROWN

Barack Obama is antsy. His aides can see it when he alights from Air Force One from the all-too-occasional campaign trips he has taken this fall. There’s a sigh, an unhappy-camper body language when he finds himself back in the depressing slipstream of Ebola confabs and national-security-crisis-of-the-day meetings. The vibe, according to people in his orbit, is not so much of being checked out as of being fed up.

“[I] do like campaigning. ... It’s fun,” Obama said on Thursday, speaking wistfully at a rally for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mike Michaud in Maine. But the Michaud event was the exception, not the rule. “There have been $2 billion in ads shitting on the president and no one to defend him,” a senior administration official told us. “He is very fired up to get this campaign behind him, to run through the tape.”

Obama, for so long the man with the bright future, has hated being relegated to a sidelined pariah in the midterms—even if it is the inevitable lot of a second-termer with approval ratings hovering in the low 40s—according to a dozen current and former Obama advisers we spoke with in recent days. He both resents the narrative that he’s basically irrelevant and doesn’t much relish the fact that many of his longest-serving staffers, the remnant core of his once-buzzing and brash White House, are strapping themselves to ejector seats. More than anything, Obama’s loathing for Washington, an attitude that reads as ennui to outsiders, has hardened into a sullen resignation at being trapped in a broken system he failed to change, advisers told us.

“I sense a certain fatalism there, and it’s disturbing,” says a former adviser on Obama’s campaign who, like many others we talked with for this story, requested anonymity. “There’s a sense that ‘I’ve tried everything, and look where it got me.’ People misread it as disengagement. It’s frustration. But who cares? It’s a bad mind-set.” Another Obama veteran adds, “the bully pulpit is gone, maybe forever.”

Administration officials tell us that Obama’s political and policy teams are planning a big counterattack if the Republicans win the Senate—introducing a slate of legislative proposals and executive actions on immigration, infrastructure and early childhood education that are popular with the Democratic base and that he will dare the GOP to oppose. Time and history, however, aren’t on his side. The six-month period between Election Day and next summer is likely the last chance for Obama to make his mark before the 2016 presidential campaign to succeed him really kicks into high gear.

This article just verifies what we have known all along. He is immature and can't take criticism. He probably stomps his feet, cries like a child throwing a tantrum, and sucks his thumb all night long.

If he wished to, would he even get a chance... everything about him seems to scream “manipulated figurehead.”

Reboot?

Why does the ObaMessiah need a reboot?

We’re were told ad nauseum by his faithful media scribes he walks on water and he could also turn it into wine.

What happened?

People now dislike Obama and democrats are distancing from him to save face. So he is no longer walking on water. He is walking on thin air.

“....strapping themselves to ejector seats.”

My early New Years prediction is OBooHoo will quit after the 1st of the year for being so under appreciated.

It kinda reminds me of the old adage about people placing all their eggs into one basket. And they hand that basket to one person. Therein lies all their hopes and changes and reputations.

When they placed all their eggs into his basket, they had no idea that he would break all their eggs without batting an eye.

He’s just a narcissistic puppet. But he really believes that he is likable and can spew his scripted words and be met with endless acclaim because he is such a star. Kind of like a singer who sings songs written by others but is always popular.

His momma always told him he was handsome and charismatic and he was too dumb to realize she was blowin smoke up his *ss.

He’s too stupid to realize how stupid he’s going to look for the next two years.

Reboot, LOL!!!

Nothing that has transpired over the last six years has resulted from stupidity or incompetence. Those who continue thinking Obama is stupid or incompetent, are more stupid than the “LIVs” we ridicule daily on FR.

Obama’s actions are not motivated by either stupidity or incompetence. His motivation is MALICE! Malice toward western values in general, and malice toward the US Constitution specifically — “negative rights.”

My God, I still see people posting daily on FR how stupid and incompetent Obama is. I wish. At least there would be hope he’d change direction....

Not to be harsh on my fellow FRiends, but if you still really believe Obama is either stupid or incompetent, then you are as much a danger to the Republic as Obama and the LIVs that enable him.

Obama likes to "BE" President.

He doesn't like to "DO" President!

Obama is not bright. There's no evidence of his brilliance anywhere. Not in school, not as a lawyer, not in business, not in the senate and not as President.

Obama is incompetent. See above.

Obama also hates America and is acting with malice towards her whenever the opportunity arises.

These things are not mutually exclusive.

He's all three.

I believe those who put Obama in power thought they could control him but instead found he was too arrogant and too narcissistic to listen to anyone.

And here we are.

Reasonable people can disagree, but I wouldn't go around calling people stupid who disagree with you.
