Comcast Corp has reached a $50 million settlement in a decade-old lawsuit accusing it of overcharging cable television subscribers, 1-1/2 years after the U.S. Supreme Court threw out a larger version of the class-action case.

More likely about 27 cents with the lawyers getting the rest. Rather than monetary restitution couldn’t the Comcast executives be publicly flogged or placed in the stocks for ridicule?

Wow - all that money and nothing to buy with it. Too bad we don’t at least have nickel packages of gum any more. I received a check from AMEX couple of years ago for 19 cents as settlement on a class action suit. Wonder why they bothered wasting the paper and postage.

In a heavy green glass bottle. Those were the days when a Coke was a Coke. Wish they would bring that formula back.
We used to go to a small restaurant called the Teepee and it was shaped like an Indian teepee. They had A&W root beer in a frosty mug for 5 cents. For a nickle more you could add a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream. Yum yum!
It aggravates me because there is no cents sign on computer keyboards any more. Don’t know if it’s because people seen not to have any sense any more or because you can’t buy anything for less than a $.
