MADISON, Wis. In attempting to explain her two-year work hiatus in the early to mid-1990s, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke has said she was just burned out after an intense period of leading European operations for Trek Bicycle Corp., her familys Waterloo-based global manufacturer.
In fact, Burke apparently was fired by her own family following steep overseas financial losses and plummeting morale among Burkes European sales staff, multiple former Trek executives and employees told Wisconsin Reporter.

What she did for the business, she will do for Wisconsin.
Huh. Her own family fired her. Priceless.
Hell..this makes her perfectly qualified to run in the Dem primaries for president in 2016...
FYI anyone who is ever going to purchase a bicycle!
We have a lot of buying power.
Her family didn’t build that.
Another incompetent who couldn’t make it in the private sector so lets elect her because she’s a Democrat.
The Democrat Party's stock in trade.
Yeah, someone can’t make it in their own family business, run for political office. That’ll save us. (sarcasm of course)
hahaha
Please God let this go viral! Scott’s too much of a gentleman to do it himself.
Fired by her Own Family, but you trust her to make decisions for YOURS? Come on, Wisconsin, this is your chance to send her packing!
Failed in business, try politics.
There’s no standards for judgement for many voters, and even the biggest losers can climb the greasy pole.
Blood is thicker than water. Money is thicker than blood.......................
“...and if she can’t run a bicycle factory, can she really run Wisconsin?”
“I’m Scott Walker, and I approve this message.”
Worse than an incompetent that did not make it in the private sector is an airhead who does not even want to make it - not even as a Madison Country Club president - a position she bought for $120K and held for one year, before losing interest and moving on to something more interesting: snowboarding.
She failed in politics as well, being (the previous Dem) Gov Doyle’s Jobs creation person which she “worked” at for two years before quitting,
Breaking news on the Appleton Post-Crescent:
Walker leads Burke 50% to 43% among likely voters. Hope this holds.
