Politico Poll: Seven Percent Believe Obamacare Will Lower Healthcare Costs
Townhall ^ | October 21, 2014 | by Guy Benson

Time to inject another set of data points into the "Obamacare is working well in the real world" debate. The president and his loyalists insist that their signature law is working as intended. The general public -- yet again -- disagrees, according to a new poll from Politico.

A plurality believes the quality of their care will deteriorate under Obamacare (perhaps due to access shock, doctor shortages, and government rationing decisions), while less than one-in-five expect improved care. On costs, a pitiful seven percent believe the 'Affordable' Care Act will reduce the amount of money they'll personally pay will decrease as a result of the law; a solid majority expect to shell out more for coverage. Democrats promised substantially reduced rates for "everybody." Just 17 percent of respondents said they'd like to see Obamacare kept intact, with the remainder split evenly between preferring alterations and full repeal.

It's sad the GOP is totally dysfunctional. There could be a renaissance last seen in the Reagan years if the party was not infested with liberal big-government RINOs.

Poll must have been taken in an insane asylum.

It's doubtful that you could find 7% on the Outside crazy enough to believe that Obamacare would even keep costs the same.

Another data point that supports my tag line.

I’d bet that seven percent of Americans, or more, believe that they or somebody they know has been abducted by aliens, or that Hillary Clinton is “not liberal enough”, or that Benjamin Franklin was a President.

Always remember the motives of Obamacare supporters -

the motivation is not to provide affordable healthcare for all,

but to feel good about themselves for wanting to provide affordable healthcare for all.

Many times, sheeperals will “eat bitter” and pay more without complaining to achieve that sense of self-righteousness.

Ibet there is a large overlap between this 7% and the people who believe in unicorns.

The only ones who could believe this are ones that have never been presented with a bill. EVERYONE else knows the truth.

7% seems low to me.

Approximately 6% of Americans are reported to have "a serious mental illness such as schizophrenia, major depression or bipolar disorder." Countless others are just stupid.

58% think their care will get better, or stay the same, under owebamacare! That is the scary part.

The GOP serves the multinational global statist corporations and Wall Street investment firms that control the Chamber of Commerce. Those companies and their executives have no loyalty to any nation. Their goal is a single payer government run health care system financed through taxes on individuals, without any employer participation. Removing the cost of employer paid health care is their goal.

If the Republicans win the House and Senate in 2014, McConnell and Boehner will have a show vote to repeal Obamacare in January. Obama will veto the bill. The GOPe will then tell the base it tried to repeal but Obama prevented the repeal. The pundits will then hit the airwaves telling us it is time to move on and make the best of it. The Republican House and Senate will the move on to the important work of funneling more taxpayer money to the companies that funded their campaigns. It will be business as usual until the dollar crashes, mother Iranians stage an EMP attack, or an Ebola pandemic wipes out civilization.

Just wait until the IRS levies the opt out ‘progressive’ ObamasCare fines on those kool aid drinkers who wish to do so. Pay up morons.

Choices in this election:

The Evil Party.

The Gutless Party.

They are “gutless” because they are complicit with the Evil Party.

Depending on the study, 7%-11% of Americans believe Elvis is still alive.

That's as many or more Americans than those who believe Democratcare will lower healthcare costs.
