I-594 has been cleverly drafted to sound like it merely makes small changes to gun laws, not a flat-out ban or gun registration scheme. This is why it is so dangerous. People are less likely to oppose it; in fact, polls show that even a majority of gun owners - 54 percent of the 35 percent of Washington residents who own a gun - are in favor of it.

The fact that this POS initiative is 'too close to call' just underscores the manipulative use of words to make folks "feel" like something is being done while not "really" assaulting the RKBA. Kinda like they took pointer from the gun-violence messaging guide book.

Read the fine print. Remember there are “lawyers” drafting this legislation and they serve their Satanic overlord...their power grab for your guns will be skillfully concealed...

They’re trying to say that only 35% of the people in Washington state own a firearm? More likely only 35% of them admit to it...

Yeah, I went back and reread that part. I guess like currently allowable, private party long arms are not required to do a BGC but any FFL sale is BGC’d. Didn’t read that way in the article. Unless WA has some weird ruling that overrides federal requirement. Which I doubt it does.

Even if passed, this proposed law clearly violates the state and federal constitutions. Therefore, it will be tossed out once a lawsuit is filed to overturn it.
