One of Harry Reids bodyguards accosted a conservative journalist for asking a few basic questions about the Senate Majority Leaders wealth.
Jason Mattera, author of the explosive new book CRAPITALISM: Liberals Who Make Millions Swiping Your Tax Dollars, recently caught up with Reid and asked him, How did you become so rich working in government? The senator refused to answer.
Mattera, who publishes Daily Surge, followed up. How does someone on a government salary most of their career accumulate your type of wealth? Still, there was no answer from Reid.
Suddenly, one of the Majority Leaders bodyguards intervened. Are you press? he asked, before shoving Mattera and then pinning him against a wall.
What are you doing holding me up like that? Mattera asked the bodyguard.
After the author identified himself as a member of the press, the bodyguard retorted, I dont care if youre press or not. The man refused to give Mattera his name.
Mattera wrote CRAPITALISM, he has stated, in order to expose the Lefts phony lies and hypocrisy of claiming to stand up for the little guy, but trampling on them every chance they get. Querying how the United States Senates number one Democrat accumulated his wealth, he believes, falls under that category. Harry Reid has spent many hours on the Senate floor decrying the undue influence that the billionaire Koch brothers have had on Republican political campaigns, but there have been many questions raised about Reids own use of political power to enrich himself and his family.
With a net worth as high as $6.7 million and living arrangements that include permanent accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C. Mattera believes taxpayers deserve answers about how Senator Reid made all his earnings while living on a government salary.
As I detail in CRAPITALISM, Reids criticism of the Koch brothers could just as easily be a summary of Harrys senatorial career, says Mattera.
I know I would press charges.
The guard was stupid. Now Mattera can sue, and bring the whole episode front-and-center in the media. Perfect!
What does Filthy Harry need a bodyguard for? Wasn’t he a pugilist back in the day? Today a light breeze would probably knock him down.
He’s a brave, though mouthy little fellow. I’m surprised this Goon Squad method doesn’t happen to him more often. To be honest, Mattera does more productive social activism than James O’Keefe, even though Mattera is taken far less seriously. O’Keefe has sort of whizzed away much of his credibility and significance in the more recent years, exposing libs being themselves in private.
Its not illegal to press a ‘public servant’ like Reid to answer questions for the press. Mattera should press charges.
But it is a good question. How do you become a millionaire on a government salary?
Surprised? Yes. Why does the Senate Majority Leader rate a bodyguard?
You can easily ask the same of Mitch McConnell or John Boehner. Regardless of the party, it never ceases to aamze me how many of these government lifers manage to accumulate seven and eight figure bankrolls by the time they leave office.
Very little media coverage probably
My question would be if he was official (as in a Federal LEO) or a private hire without credentials.
I relish the day one of these “bodyguards” tries to strong arm the wrong person and gets their arse beat. Too bad most/all reporters are pansies and cannot fight.
Cattle futures?
Bodyguards?
I can recall reading stories of congressmen in early America that would have to go back home and tend to their farm when they weren’t working in Washington. Now they are like celebrities, running with an entourage of body guards and image consultants... riding in limousines...
Bodyguards and bouncers and such are always on the offense. The person they are accosting is on the defense.
Ever see a guy throw a bouncer out of a bar? I am sure there are those that could if they wanted to.
If a bouncer grabbed a guy in a bar attempting to throw him out, whats to stop the guy from turning the situation around and throwing the bouncer out? Circumstantial roles, establishing dominance.
Same with bodyguards. I’ll bet two or more people in a crowd could overpower a celebrity bodyguard. But the bodyguard is dominant all the time.
Reid is an ahole and his bodyguard should be fired, but Mattera is hoping to get decked so he can sue and get free PR for his book.
Reid has been named in many shady real estate deals.
PLEASe Mr. Mattera...PRESS CHARGES and SUE!!!! PLEASE!!
Reid has WAY more than $6.7 MILLION!
I know a guy who punched out a bouncer in a club back in the 70s. The bouncer was somewhat drunk and shoved this guy’s girlfriend for no reason. Bouncer ended up on the floor. The club later fired the bouncer for starting fights.
