IRS Erased Key Records in Lawsuit, NetJets Says
National Review Online ^ | October 1, 2014 | by John Fund

There may be a pattern involving the IRS losing e-mails and other key computer records. For months, the House Oversight Committee has been pursuing the lost e-mails of Lois Lerner and other figures in the IRS tax-exempt organization scandal.

Now, the private-jet company NetJets is claiming in a lawsuit that as part of its tax dispute with the agency the IRS “wiped clean a number of computer hard drives containing emails and other electronic documents that the Government was required to produce.”

NetJets sued the IRS in 2011, claiming that it improperly applied a ticket tax on users of its aircraft that is meant for commercial airline passengers. The IRS countersued claiming that NetJets “has failed, neglected or refused to pay its federal tax liabilities . . . in full.”

I'm not going to cry over this one. This is Warren Buffet's $1 billion tax dispute with the IRS.

As far as I'm concerned, he can bend over and take it from the Obama administration, because he is in bed with them anyway.

The budget process is not what is needed for these issues with the IRS. The courts need to use the jail system and find them in contempt of court. Fines and jail time will be the only thing that changes their corrupt practices.

If I’m not mistaken, doesn’t deliberate destruction of records (or willful failure to produce them) constitute grounds for a summary judgement against your side?

You think this isn’t staged so Buffett can win, and then certain people receive a payola for their efforts?

It’s run by criminals and appointed by criminals. No surprise there.

Obama's IRS gang reminds me of the mobsters in Elia Kazan's "On the Waterfront" - when the thugs are called to testify on their criminal activities.

Here's the transcript of that courtroom scene:

	BIG MAC {gang member}
		Sure we keep records!
	COUNSEL
		Well, where are they?
	BIG MAC (indignantly)
We was robbed last night and we can't find no books.
	COUNSEL
Doesn't it seem odd to you that five different waterfront locals
were broken into last night and the only articles removed
		were financial records?
	BIG MAC (steadfastly)
What do you mean, odd? We was robbed like I told you.
	COUNSEL(waving him aside)
		That's all. Next witness!

It doesn't even have to be deliberate. Under theses circumstances, the judge should award attorney fees and costs.
