10 Questions for Secretary of State John Kerry
Townhall.com ^ | September 20, 2014 | Steve Deace

Posted on 09/20/2014 8:19:59 AM PDT by Kaslin

During a roundtable with the media this week, Secretary of State (say that without shuddering) John Kerry said the following:

“(The U.S.) has to start major efforts to delegitimize ISIS’s claim to some religious foundation for what its doing and begin to put real Islam out there and draw lines throughout the region. And I think this is a wake-up call with respect to that because every Arab leader there today was talking about this, about real Islam and how important the Friday sermons are and where they need to go.”

Finally.

Instead of perpetuating this post-9/11, politically-correct charade that Islam is “a peaceful religion hijacked by a few extremists,” it’s good to see our chief diplomat has decided to pursue a conversation about “real Islam.” Since I’m almost not-at-all positive Secretary Kerry actually thoroughly vetted and researched this subject matter before spouting off about it, I have a few questions for our newest theologian.

10. Is the jizyah, the infamous tax levied by Muslim conquerors upon unbelievers in exchange for tolerating (and not executing) them, considered “real Islam?”

9. Is it “real Islam” in Saudi Arabia where women still aren’t allowed to drive?

8. Is it “real Islam” every time Hamas breaks a cease-fire with Israel?

7. Was it “real Islam” when Souflikar personally executed thousands of people by hand-held strangulation for the Ottoman Empire?

6. Is the rampant female genital mutilation in Muslim cultures “real Islam?”

5. Was it “real Islam” when the Q’uran said Allah turned the Jews into monkeys for their disobedience?

4. Was it “real Islam” when Tamerlane’s conquering Muslim hordes killed 17 million people (5% of the total world population at the time)?

3. Was it “real Islam” when Mohammed married a child bride?

2. Was it “real Islam” when the Hadith quoted Mohammed as saying, “There is another act which elevates the position of a man in Paradise to a grade one hundredth higher, and the elevation between one grade and the other is equal to the height of the heaven from the earth: Jihad in the way of Allah! Jihad in the way of Allah!”

1. Is it “real Islam” when the Q’uran calls for going to war with unbelievers over 100 times?

Finally, Mr. Secretary, if those 10 questions prove too difficult for you, allow me to submit a bonus question:

Where in the world today are Muslims better off living in a culture under Sharia Law than they would be if they lived in the United States?

Kerry is the little sheep peacefully bleating in the sunny meadow while the pack of wolves is assembling in the shadows of the woods behind him. He and the other elites spend their lives in enclaves protected with iron gates, bullet proof limousines, and armed security guards. They can afford to be oblivious to the dangers and horrors of the world around them - radical Islamic jihad, drug cartel violence, urban youth gang violence, the spread of infectious third world diseases, and the growing military strength of nations committed to our destruction (Russia, China, Iran).

Unfortunately, until members of the elite governing class begin suffering in large numbers they will continue to place the common folk in danger while they sip champagne and congratulate themselves on their humanity.

Earlier, someone posted an article which contained the following observation by Peter Wehner in his Commentary article entitled John Kerry's Stupid Condescension":

"He’s been wrong on virtually every major foreign-policy matter since the 1970s," says Wehner in the posted article.

Given some of Kerry's recent statements, one might find it interesting to take a look at the evolution of some of his views on the use of America's military and its CIA.

When he first ran for Congress in 1970, the Harvard Crimsom ran a lengthy article by Samuel Z. Goldhaber about him and his candidacy.

The following is a brief excerpt from Goldhaber's piece:

He supports a volunteer Army, "if and only if we can create the controls for it. You're going to have to prepare for the possibility of a national emergency, however." Kerry said that the United Nations should have control over most of our foreign military operations. "I'm an internationalist. I'd like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations."

On other issues, Kerry wants "to almost eliminate CIA activity. The CIA is fighting its own war in Laos and nobody seems to care."

(End of excerpt)

“One more bonus question: Where is your wife?

One possible answer: “Back home getting high on her gin-soaked raisins.”

Second possible answer: “ She’s too old and ugly to be seen with in public.”

Corollary: “And I’m in the process of looking for a filthy rich replacement.”

Another question for Kerry: “In the 1970s, how did you escape being indicted, tried, convicted, and sentenced for your giving aid and comfort to the enemy, you traitor?”

“third possibility: she is nolonger with us, but can, like all good dead in Mass, vote.”

The saddest part about her was that her first husband (and the fountainhead of all of her wealth) was a fairly decent Republican from PA who died young in a plane crash as I recall. How did he not know what kind of a liberal cretin she was?
