So if someone drowns in a swimming pool, they can sue the water company who supplied the water?

He passed NICS to get the rifle he could have passed any logical “check” the ammo supplier could have done. Funny how bad things happen when a dangerous lunatic is let out on the street by his mental health “professional” even though she is absolutely sure he is dangerous.

Are they suing the movie theater too like the shooting victims families are doing?

How does the Brady Center have legal standing to sue?

The bottom line is that a manufacturer is not responsible for how someone uses a product and neither is a seller..

How do they possibly have standing to sue?

Except that he was indeed who he said he was, and they certainly do not as a company policy have a reasonable expectation that an individual customer is going to use their bullets to commit mass murder. Next case.

Where does The Brady Bunch get their “standing” to sue anybody? Isn’t “standing” the next big thing in our judicial system? Throw the maggots out and make THEM pay all lawyer and court fees.

I doubt any ammo sales people ever ask what your intent is.

The vendors followed all applicable laws. This nothing more than the “sue and settle” attack the left is using to push all of their agendas.

First, what is their supposed basis for claim? They should not have standing.

Second, what law or regulation says that the websites didn’t use all required caution in dealing with their customers? If the websites are compliant, the lawsuit is frivolous.

Third, what in the world makes these people believe they have the right to prevent others from accessing a legal product in a legal manner?

Sounds like they want to use the discovery process to get the names of the ammo companies’ customers.

I’ll bet the Brady Bunch have probably already investigated the ammo dealer to see if he can afford a defense, or they would not have launched such a lawsuit.

If only we had a decent DOJ that would go after corrupt organizations under RICO.

I’m tired of harassment from groups like the Brady campaign.

Hey, Brady Bunch. He drove a car to the theater. Find out what brand and sue them.

Hasn’t this “extended liability” gambit been tried and failed several times before? Not that THAT would stop a liberal ...

” . . . a Tennessee-based online retailer from which Holmes bought 6,000 rounds of ammunition — 3,000 each of handgun ammo and .223 rifle ammo, as well as 300 shotgun shells.”

I don’t get it. Are they saying he bought the ammo illegally, or just that he bought so much of it? He certainly didn’t use all of it so how does it matter how much he bought?

Sounds like it would just be a fun weekend for me and some of the guys at the range.
