Forgive the vanity but I wonder what Freepers expect with tonight's speech.
As in: how many strawmen will be set-up and knocked down? How many times will we hear "as I've said many times" and "let me be perfectly clear"? How many times will others be blamed (Bush, the intelligence community, his defense department for not providing him with a strategy, the world in general)? Will he specifically denounce Islamic terrorism or will he dance around that? How many times will the personal pronouns be used to refute the argument that he has waffled and been indecisive in foreign policy? Will he even attempt to assert a long-term objective or will he just waffle and punt that responsibility? Will any kind of detailed strategy be offered? How quickly will the lamestream media pronounce this as a bold and inspiring speech and strategy?
At least, since this is happening at 9PM tonight, he won't be going off to the golf course immediately upon completion.
Saying “ISIL” instead of “ISIS” is promoting the desire to wipe out Israel and kill all the Jews.
Remember this when any of them say it.
I’ll wait for the reports after instead of watching him as I’m sure he will just say the same incoherent speech.

What do I expect from this “prime-time” appearance? He will show up late. He will talk overly long. It will all be Bush’s fault. (Now, how the blazes can he keep using THAT as an excuse?). There will be “severe” penalties for ISIS (not defined, but like other “red lines”, drawn in disappearing ink). And he will ruin the hour for Megan Kelly.
All in all, another stellar performance. And just possibly, he could squeeze in another fund-raiser at a midnight meeting, certainly no later than the following evening.
When is the Current Occupant ever going to end this campaign speech tour, and get down to the business of doing the job for which he was hired?

ISIS refers to the “Islamic State In Syria”.
ISIL refers to the “Islamic State In Levant”.
“Levant” is a region that includes and centers on the country of Israel and makes a oblong shape of land surrounding that.
When a democrat uses the term ISIL, they are inherently promoting the Islamic State engulfing Israel. It may be unconscious, but I bet it is not.

The talking points have been distributed......I heard Alan Colmes on Fox this morning and this is not Obamas fault. “Bush is the one who signed all the agreements to leave Iraq, and bring all the troops home, Obama was just following the agenda.” (Paraphrasing). Is this just hysterical, only now that there are imminent threats, GWB is the DOVE and Obama is the HAWK. Only in Obama’s America.
He might quote his favorite Rev. Wright and say, “you cannot do terrorism on other people and expect it never to come back on you.”
One more: How many times will he say “I” in the speech?
Obama’s speech will be like he pick it out of a hat sentence by sentence
who is going to watch it? I will not even turn the tele on if he is on. I have my mother with Alzheimers residing with me and if Obama’s name is even mentioned she has a phrase that is not fit for free republic. She worked for 50 years as a Registered Nurse, retired at the age of 74. Now four years later she cannot remember much of the present except when Obama appears.
