The TV show, How It’s Made had a segment on haggis as made by a company named MacSween. The video is available on youtube. Worth a look if you are curious about haggis. They even make a microwaveable and vegetarian haggis.

I've had haggis twice...each time indelibly stamped in my olfactory memory and taste buds..I'me fairly adventurous..like you..when it comes to food..but it's just not my cup of tea..but it's definitely something you should experience for yourself..especially if part of a special dining out experience..the presentation of the haggis is a big part of the whole experience..

BTW...I liked Vegemite. Duran's on my bucket list....is the smell/taste really as bad as they say? I've heard it compared to decomposing flesh...

I think I would have enjoyed haggis, but I don't care for lamb.

Never smelled a durian, but I do remember they are not allowed on the Singapore subway system,

Best reason yet.

Now we’ll have to see if an independent Scotland will throw out the bearded barbarians.

Doubtful if the EU would allow that.

Fat chance, the SNP want MORE immigration to a ‘new’ Scotland.

I love haggis, IF its done properly, the biggest problem usually is that its overcooked and left dry and heavy. It should always be light.

And what was your opinion of vegemite?

Do muzzies in Scotland wear kilts and, if so, what color?

“And what was your opinion of vegemite?”

Well, let’s see. I’m thinking very salty axle grease might be a fair comparison. But, having never eaten axle grease it’s just a guess :)

The family and I lived in Shanghai for two years. While there, we spent a Christmas/New Years vacation in Australia once. Had a great time. Toured the Yarra Valley and enjoyed the fantastic wineries and cheese producers along the way. Aussies make some excellent feta I must say. But, I suppose it should be expected being the largest population of Greeks outside of Greece resides in the Melbourne area. Anyway, I’ll pass on the veggie-mite and will take the feta instead :)

Decomposing flesh is a good comparison. The smell is so foul that Singapore government has banned it from virtually every restaurant, hotel, club, etc. about the only place you can buy it is off some cart or in an open air market.
