New England hasn’t been fertile territory for Republican candidates of late, but the party has an opportunity to gain House seats in the region this November.

(SNIP)

Massachusetts’ 6th District. There are two races to watch in this district this fall. The first is the Sept. 9 Democratic primary between Rep. John Tierney and Iraq War veteran Seth Moulton, along with three others. (SNIP) In the general, Tierney would face Republican Richard Tisei in a rematch of their close 2012 contest. (SNIP)

Maine’s 2nd District. (SNIP) Democratic state Sen. Emily Cain and former Republican state Treasurer Bruce Poliquin won competitive primaries and are facing off in the general. (SNIP)

New Hampshire’s 1st District. (SNIP) Former Rep. Frank Guinta is expected to win the Sept. 9 GOP primary, but he must get past business school dean Dan Innis.

Tierney would face Republican Richard Tisei

Tisei is married. His wife's name is Bernie. Because that's the kind of Republicans we have here in Mass.

No thanks.

I take it that's not a nickname for Bernice or Bernadette.

Im mainly interested in his record on immigration.

To have a RINO like Scott Brown and a gay like Tisei attacking Dems on immigration is interesting.

I thought Tisei sponsored a lot of enforcment bills in the Mass. legislature.

“In a time when jobs are scarce, it’s very questionable whether adding millions of new legal workers to the system is a good idea. Conceivably, that could put illegals in line for jobs ahead of native born and legally present immigrants,” said Tisei.

As a state senator, voted for a measure designed to clamp down on illegal immigrants’ ability to obtain a range of state services from Medicaid to public housing and requires companies doing business with the state to verify that their workers are in the country legally and bars them from bidding on public contracts if they’re caught employing illegal immigrants.

Im worried about her stance on immigration. It is probably better than Lambert’s but is she more worried she won’t get invited to GOPE Hispanic consultant meetings or that there is some amount of voters in NH02 who want amnesty.

I think Carl DeMaio, the gay from San Diego, wavered on amnesty after being against it in 2010 and 2012.

Immigration Hardliner Brian Bilbray used to hold that seat.

Vote for Innis in NH-01. Giunta can’t beat Commie Che-Porter.

I thought Guinta was the more conservative. He won in 2010 lost in 2012.

The candidates offered differing positions on both abortion — Guinta and Kelly oppose it, Innis believes it should be legal up to 20 weeks of pregnancy — and gay marriage. Innis, who is gay and married, said opposition to gay marriage should be removed from the national GOP platform, while both Guinta and Kelly said they support only traditional marriage between men and women.

Yeah and he’s liberal as the day is long even without being a homosexual.

I stand corrected.

Innis is “married” to “his husband”.

I guess Che-Porter is going back to Congress.

She is rated quite a bit higher on the 2nd Amendment scale than Lambert ... that is good enough for me.

Giunta is leading in every poll this year against Porter, but I like Innis too; thought I don’t think he is going to win against Giunta.

Innis is queer? Why don’t any of his campaign ads mention this?

I.m confused so the republican is a homosexual guy but he has a wife, or he calls his other homosexual pal a wife?

No wonder I persuaded my wife to leave the state

There are two men who married each other in MA. One of them is a Republican who is running in the current election.

And I ain't voting for him.
