A terrified Arizona widow, armed with a revolver, hid in her bathroom then shot and subdued a robber who broke into her home.
Incredible 911 audio captures the courageous 47-year-old woman work her way through the May ordeal, shooting and wounding Michael Lewis, 20.
Lewis has since pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary and aggravated assault for breaking into the unidentified woman’s Phoenix home near 67th Ave. and Indian School Road, KPNX-TV reported.

What I don’t understand is why they let people like this out on bond. Surely someone has to realize that he might return to this woman’s house for retribution. She should have permanently disabled him the first time.
Actions have consequences and he should have paid a heavier price. Without the gun, he’d likely killed her.

Wow, great job local media... 67th and Indian School is about the closest major intersection to my house... Probably heard the ghetto bird overhead back on night in May but we never hear on the local news what was going on... Now I find a story linked on FR from a New York source that told me what one of the instances was 4 months ago. Which reminds me, I wonder if bullets are getting any more readily available... I need a couple more boxes!

He punched her several times, and in the face. Just for that he should have been shot twice. Or something. He's not just a burglar thief, he beat on an innocent woman.
