Remember what the Miami school system was doing with the black students criminal records to cover the crimes of the likes of Trayvon.

No convictions? Big deal. He was a thief and assaulted a cop.

“He was a thief and assaulted a cop.”

A shop lifter is a thief. This guy is caught in the act of strong arm robbery and assault, then attacking a police officer. A hat trick of felonies in less than an hour.

No need to see his record, it is crystal clear what he was.

From the Post Dispatch: “The parents of Michael Brown were represented at the hearing by their attorney, Anthony D. Gray. Although he did not speak in the hearing, outside the courtroom he blasted the Post-Dispatch and Johnson for requesting the juvenile files.”

So, Brown’s family sent an attorney, and the gubermint vigorously opposed release of a dead adult’s juvenile records, because there was nothing there.

Article only says that while a juvenile, Brown had never been “charged as an adult”, meaning with 1st or 2nd degree murder. This leaves a bit of latitude. I doubt we will ever know.

Something I haven’t seen anything on, is whether Officer Wilson had ever encountered Brown or Johnson before.

My thoughts were similar. Mentions nothing of arrests or accusations... says convictions.

My reading of the article, is that she said the serious felonies” of 1st and 2nd degree murder by a juvenile would require being “charged as an adult” and that would be disclosed in public records. She deduced that absent such items in the public record, Brown’s sealed juvenile records would not contain murder charges. Apparently murder crosses some sort of threshold in MO, if she is correct. In most states, seeking to charge juveniles as adults is a prosecutor’s option based on circumstances — not automatic based on the type of crime. Whether Brown’s juvenile record contains any criminal history at all was not disclosed — the judge is considering the request and pondering what the grief she will take if she allows inconvenient truths to see the light of day.

the key here is the wording of the answer.

no serious convictions.

if he had a plea deal for the 2nd degree murder it could have been something that was plea-bargained down to a lesser charge.

in the end, you are correct, prior events are imaterial to him attacking the cop, brutally, and being neutralized by that cop.

Agree, diversion programs for these thugs are typical magical thinking of guilt-driven leftists. Like Saint Trayvon, we need to know about the school records of Saint Swisher of Sweets, a.k.a. The Gentle Giant.

John Burns, the attorney for Charles Johnson at Got News, told The Gateway Pundit after the hearing this morning at the St. Louis County courthouse that Brown was never convicted of a serious felony but may have been charged with a serious felony before his death.

No one's said he'd been convicted, they've said he's been suspected in a 21nd degreee murder case.

Attacking a police officer isn’t a serious felony I guess.

And what does the MSM focus on?

Gee, the gentle giant JUST turned 18. A baby if you will.

No, people don't live normal law-abiding lives, then turn 18 and START assaulting store clerks.

I bet anything that the gentle giant has been plying his trade for several years.

Why do you think he attacked a cop?

He KNOWS he's going to "big boy" prison if caught.

Therefore it doesn't matter if the cop had any inkling of the strong arm robbery.

Gentle giant certainly did.

And he knows that he'll go to pound me in the ass prison.

Gentle giant had every motive to attack the cop.

Case closed.

Black Americans better start looking for more sympathetic "victims" of racism.

This POS isn't doing them any favors.

In fact, he's making people begin to really be scared of gentle giants whenever they see them.
