Make fun, if you wish, but precisely the sort of thing that pisses the Sov . . . er, Russians off.

The mothers of Russian soldiers who complained were officially declared “foreign agents”! How long before their mothers and wives are arrested or disappeared for complaining??

If the only two people in the Washington, D.C., area who believe that the U.S. should send arms to the Ukrainians are John McCain and Lindsey Graham, it would be a wonderful gesture for them to form a human chain in front of the White House in solidarity with the brave citizens of Mariupol.

At least it would be a strategy — something President See-No-Evil can’t manage to put together. As others joined the chain, more and more pressure would be placed on the President to fulfill his executive role of DOING something, even if it’s only to take a clear stand on the Ukrainian crisis, which would at least lead to a debate, the hallmark of a democracy that we its citizens deserve.

The Russian people divide themselves in 2 people: Soviet & Russian.

I agree the Soviets are evil & would probably mow them down: NOT the Russians!

These were the kinds of pro Ukrainian demonstrations we were seeing in E. Ukraine early on, until the pro Russian terrorist thugs came along and beat them, shot them, and took them prisoner.

Then the pro Russians held a "referendum".

Actually, these people are putting themselves at risk - not unlike Tiannimin Square. I think what makes the photo less interesting is that they are dressed exactly like Americans in summertime. But look at the Soviet-style block housing behind them.

As Yakov Smirnoff used to say, "In Russia we have freedom of speech. In America you have freedom AFTER speech."
