McALLEN, Texas (AP) -- A Border Patrol agent pursuing a group of immigrants in a wooded area near the Texas-Mexico border on Friday fired several shots at an armed man who later identified himself as a militia member.

Border Patrol spokesman Omar Zamora said agents had been chasing a group of immigrants east of Brownsville Friday afternoon when an agent saw a man holding a gun near the Rio Grande. The agent fired four shots, but did not hit the man. The man then dropped his gun and identified himself as a member of a militia. Zamora said no other details were immediately available.

Cameron County Sheriff Omar Lucio, whose agency is involved in the investigation, said the incident occurred on private property and it appeared the man had permission to be there. He was not arrested, Lucio said.

The man, whose name has not been released, was wearing camouflage and carrying a long arm that was either a rifle or shotgun...

I know if I were running one of these citizen patrols I would be more than happy to file a daily plan with the BP. Both for the sake of safety and the fact that it frees the BP up for other areas.

A Mexican immigrant living near the border makes no bones about how he feels about illegals.

Taking the average here in south Georgia, I would say 50/50 is about right.

Some big operations are all legals with visas and work permits. Others aren’t so much that way.

I can't blame the fruit pickers when the Americans want $50/hour to pick a watermelon. It's worth their while to hire what legals they can...and take their chances with the illegals.

The Feds know EXACTLY whose hiring legals or illegals. There are enough snitches in this world for the Feds to know everything.

I used to provide software for ag accounting and payroll systems way back in my younger days. We used to require documents and social security numbers for adding new employees and thought we were doing a great job. Found out later they could buy counterfeit documents on the black market for peanuts.

Oh dear.
Then, when the IRS sent forms for income tax, they were nowhere to be found. We lost all the way around.

The Mexican government hands out pamphlets on how to sneak into the USA. That same government has ITS southern border closed tighter than a tick.
Their government is behind the Mexico-USA border disaster and our government KNOWS that too. We taxpayers just have to eat it.

YOU did it the right way. And when it all comes down to it, that is what is important.

National Guard Turns to Food Banks Because Rick Perry Hasn’t Paid Them Yet
http://www.thewire.com/politics/2014/08/national-guard-troops-turn-to-food-bank-because-rick-perry-hasnt-paid-them-yet/379384/

(Update 3:30pm: In a statement to The Wire Gov. Perry’s press office challenged the account given by the RGV food bank, and said the Texas National Guard only has a record of two troops receiving aid.)

snip

First, the suggestion that Guardsmen aren’t getting paid is false. They are getting paid on a regular schedule with their first pay day on Sept. 5, then every two weeks after that. Second, based on information provided by the Texas National Guard, two soldiers sought and received assistance through the Family Assistance Coordinator. Family Assistance Coordinators routinely help Guardsmen all across the state with needs they may have, regardless of deployment or duty status. Also, based on information provided by the Guard, they currently have no indication that any Guardsmen received any assistance from the Rio Grande Valley Food Bank.

I watched it. THANKS for the link!
He did it the right way and I don't blame him for being angry at our pimp president-without backbone. The buck stops with our our pimp president without a VESTIGE of any cajones.

I have a Mexican cousin in Dallas, working for a Mexican company in the USA. It took HER years and years of waiting to get her U.S. citizenship. It annoys the HOLY PIE outta her to see the "wetbacks." But, she knows that the corruption begins in MEXICO with their uber corrupt government politicians...so she tries not to think of it too much cuz there's not a dang thing she can do about it.

In a sane world that is what would happen.

It will never happen in Obama’s America.

Satan and his minions are alive and well, provoking the standard Catholic bashing. This time the aim is directed at the Holy Eucharist. But, that's been happening for 2000 years now so I don't think it will stop here.

I don't bash other faiths but that doesn't stop the Catholic haters, does it?

They need to coordinate with the border patrol.

When I spent a week with the Texas Border Volunteers, we always did. Everytime we caught illegals, we held them and called BPs ASAP. They always knew where we were.

We don’t have a lot of illegals wading across Lake Superior but if we did I’d be the first to volunteer to spend a couple weeks every summer sitting on a bluff overlooking the lake. LOL
