Yes AR-15's have shot and killed lots of people.
Once I saw one get out of a car and shoot for no reason at all.

So what we have here, is apparently a black on black political tiff.

I do not agree with the militarization of police (I’m a cop), but there are reasons this has happened. They include the LA bank robbery shootout and Columbine. Criminals raise the stakes, cops call their bluff.

Campus cops who carry the semi-automatic weapons must receive special training first. Also, “carry” is a very strong word. School district officials have indicated the officers will actually keep the aggressive-looking rifles in the trunks of their patrol cars until some event arises in which the guns are needed

I want the officers to have their right arms removed and the AR surgically installed in the arm's place.

I’d bet the aggressive looking AR-15s aren’t nearly as aggressive looking as the street gangs that infest Compton.
