The sad truth remains that 5% of FReepers support 100% of FR. Can you imagine what it would be like if we had 10% support? These things would wrap up in days, not months.
When I joined FR ten years ago, it was not uncommon to git 'er done in 7-10 days. It was less expensive 10 years ago, but, it really shouldn't take two months.
Not everybody can donate. I get that. But, I'm certain that we have some among the 95% that are FReeploading. Harsh words, but I know it's true.
Imagine no FR. No way to get the REAL news that affects us all. No pool of talent to ferret out the real truth. No ability to call BS when we see it.
The list goes on.
We need your help. We need new donors. We need new blood.
If you've never donated, give it a whirl. If you donate once in a while, try monthly donations. It's really painless.
Imagine a Freepathon that lasts days, not months.

It seems to be a VERY conservative thing - respecting the person who creates what you are reading.
Sure most. But you don’t worry about most, you worry about the one.
From what you have shared, and the very, very little I understand, there is no increased copyright risk by posting full text to Free Republic after you posted it to the blog.
Beyond of course that more people saw it and that increases the likelyhood of someone lifting it, but more people was the goal in posting any of it here in the first place.

Just for the record, how many active Freepers make the 100%.
Are the 5% calculated on the basis of all those registered many of which are semi active or totally inactive? I mourn the loss of many old hands that are probably on the rolls but for reasons best known to themselves are now effectively gone.
All I know is that if I come up with a tale, I want credit for it. My great grand kids speaking in hushed whispers of the story I told them one idle night. You have the equvalant, I’m sure.

There is not much risk to posting the full text here - most people are honest and decent. You just learn to be careful and very cautious on line with your writing.
It’s one of those graded things - If someone rips me off, I get PO’d. If someone takes what I wrote and uses it as a springboard for approval/rebuttal - I am pleased as punch.
Free Vulcan opus’d out this morning by FReepmail. Says FR serves no useful purpose anymore in the conservative universe except for those that want to sound important and grouse, but never lift a finger to do anything about it. He refuses to donate to people that think they are entitled to it and give nothing in return and he can find 100 other “news aggregators” on the web. He’s going to move on and concentrate on working within the GOP
News aggregators? is that what we are? Work for the GOP?

Also says we are no longer activists. Now I admit we’ve had a long dry spell since we last impeached a president or helped get another elected or got a major news anchor fired, but that doesn’t mean we’ve given up on activism. FReepers represent all that is good in America and we’re fighting daily on many fronts. No way do we surrender or give up the fight. If ever there was need for an impeachment it is now. The only thing standing in the way IS the GOP. Boehner in particular. When we decided to impeach Clinton, Gingrich was right there to move it along.
Lastly he says FR can’t bring in enough donations to pay the bills so he says we’re going under anyway. Well, I don’t know about that. The FReepers always come through for FR!!

As far as activists are concerned, many of us here either belong to, are involved with or participate in TEA Party activities. Some appear on TV and are heard on the radio.
