Obama Lied, IRS E-Mails Didn't Die (Surprised, Anyone?)

RUSH: This is The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson, Shannon Bream was filling in talking with Judicial Watch president, Tom Fitton. And Shannon Bream said, "Tom, tell us what you found out, and were you surprised to now hear somebody with the agency saying these e-mails may never have been missing at all?"

FITTON: A Department of Justice attorney told a Judicial Watch attorney on Friday that it turns out the federal government backs up all computer records in case something terrible happens in Washington. They say it would be too hard to go get Lois Lerner's e-mails from that backup system. So everything we've been hearing about scratched hard drives, about missing e-mails of Lois Lerner, other IRS officials, other officials in the Obama administration, it's all been a pack of malarkey. There's no such thing as Lois Lerner's missing e-mails. It's all been a big lie. They've been lying to the courts, the American people, and to Congress. It's really outrageous.

RUSH: It's a jaw dropping revelation because the Regime has been lying to the American people. But the courts, they have been lying to all of these judges. Some of these judges are pretty strict law and order guys. This is gonna be interesting to see how this shakes out. I know what they were doing. They're lying about this to let the emotion evaporate. They're lying about this to let everybody stop caring about it, people burnt out on their emotion, and now all of a sudden, guess what? We've got the e-mails. It's just so hard to go get 'em. I mean, that backup has got everything from the government on it. We know they're there, but that's not the point. The point is they were specific in their lies. They were specific. Let's go to back and listen. This is John Koskinen back on June 20th. He's the commissioner of the IRS and this is at a House Ways and Means Committee hearing.

KOSKINEN: The actual hard drive, after it was determined that it was dysfunctional and that, with experts, no e-mails could be retrieved, was recycled and destroyed in the normal process. This was --

DAVE CAMP: So was it physically destroyed?

KOSKINEN: That's my understanding.

RUSH: Doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. That was a full-fledged lie. The e-mails are backed up. But look at how specific the lie was. These lies were told to explain why those e-mails were gone. These lies were told to tell everybody that it would be impossible to get them. And even when questions of system-wide backups were brought up, "Well, no, some of these e-mails are private addresses and they're not part of a government system and (muttering)." It was all lies. And Tom Fitton, I tell you, these guys at Judicial Watch, these guys don't stop.

They just keep digging and they hit pay dirt. What Fitton is saying, that a Department of Justice, a DOJ attorney told the Judicial Watch attorney on Friday that everything's backed up. Those e-mails are still there. It would be very hard to get them. But the lies that Koskinen and everybody told were specific as to why they couldn't retrieve them.

Why are they spending all this money on a backup system that makes it “too hard” to go and retrieve something?

No, what is surprising is that anyone pays any mind whatsoever to anything that excretes forth from that person’s oral cavity.

If there was ever a situation tailor made for a major RICO indictment of a whole crowd of people this is it.

Anyone who knows the law and even the slightest bit honest would have a list of indictments as long as Chris Matthew's piss soaked leg within days.

Too bad Holder is the guy who will make the decision, but what the Hell, elections have consequences and at least we don't have whoever Romney would have appointed, right?

I want people to go to jail for the cover-up.

It is way past time for an independent council.

There are different types of backups. When a catastrophic failure occurs, the system needs to be restored to the closest point in time to the failure. At the enterprise server level you never want to go to the tape. It is a last resort. Many enterprise systems have a failover system in place. Archiving of older data would be a separate mission. According to the testimony I saw at the IRS hearings, archiving of files was done by sneaker net.

We knew from the start that the shriveled up old hag and her boss were lying.
