When powerful vacuums are outlawed, only outlaws will have powerful vacuums.

how does making a vacuum suck less improve the climate??

how about focusing on energy production and less on ways of controlling people?

Great. You can freeze in the dark and be filthy, too! Welcome to Europe, 700 AD. Allah Akbar!

Cash for clunkers, lightbulbs, A/C coolant, vacuum cleaners...Forcing people to buy replacements they don't need.

So, with a less powerful motor, you spend more time vacuuming, so the end result is no net reduction in energy usage or maybe even increased energy usage.

Smart move there, EU.

Why not just outlaw vacuum cleaners and mandate the use of brooms?

Europe decides to suck less and only manages to suck more.

First they came for the incandescents, and I did not speak out— because I was not an incandescent user....

This is really stupid. A vac is on for a few minutes at a time. This is not going to help anything at all. People will have to run the vac a longer time because it won’t work as well as the old ones.
Liberalism = stupidity.

The carbon jerks suck far more than these vacuums.

Last part of the article:
Under the EU's plans the maximum wattage allowed is set to drop by a further 900 watts from 2017, affecting the majority of current models.
The average vacuum motor currently stands at 1,800 watts.

Few people mention stupid here....

Remember the ‘old movies’ when one of the characters would say “I feel rather gay tonight” (Usually in a Song and Dance type) and it meant giddy etc?...

Well- for you ‘old timers’.

We used to have a ‘word’ for certain parts of the citizenry
and the name was often associated with a hound or furry rodent.

There is a local car dealer running ads and one of the focuses is on the Company name that goes on the vehicle with the statement that you see more of these stickers in the area than any other etc.

Well this one Black girl, grinning and smiling, has the sticker in her hand and pointing at it and saying ‘me too’ (may have made that up).

Well the same ‘tittering, snickering’ as when the actor mentions ‘feeling gay’ came about when viewing this ad.

Oh, the name of the Company is Koons.

The young lady is holding the decal BUT the ‘S’ is not shown...

Just an observation, but while many around the country have been distracted by ‘race riots’, Ukrainian ‘independence fighters’ and ‘genocide’ in Iraq....

...there has been testimony on the Hill re ‘climate change’ as well as across the country in various locales (other countries as well).

I, for one, find that decidedly convenient.

The ‘news’ does not interest me. What ‘they’ decide is/isn’t news does interest me.

My hackles are up...

Maybe in addition to free Obama phones, we can get free Obama balls - those little things that roll around your house collecting dust.

My Electrolux 1401 Super J Canister manufactured in 1975 is as powerful today as it was then when it could suck chrome off a trailer hitch and at "only" 1200 watts
