Yes, very similar except for Wilson having a suspicion that Brown may have perpetrated a strong-arm robbery. The current version is that Wilson did not have that suspicion.
Darn good shooting — 4 warning shots before the self defense shots.
Yeah, the elusive and nonexistent ‘lone wolf’ that keeps Eric Holder awake at night.
Here’s Larry Elder’s take on one liberal lie...
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2014/08/beyond_racebaiting_in_ferguson.html
“I hear people talk about how the Ferguson Police Department does not represent the city. So what? Are you saying that because the city has a certain racial composition you therefore cant represent the people? If thats the argument, the logical extension is Obama should never be president because black people are just thirteen percent of the country. Thats ridiculous...”
And Jason Riley:
“The real difficulty is not getting shot by other black people if you are a young black man in these neighborhoods Cops are not the problem. Cops are not producing these black bodies in the morgues every week-end in Chicago, New York and Detroit and so forth.”
Very very uncool to expose details about Wilson’s family. His privacy can unravel, plus his family can become vulnerable.
Brown may have been high or drunk and was looking for a reason to fight. Or Darren Wilson totally overreacted. That's why there are investigations and trials, rather then lynch mobs.
But it is perfectly OK for blacks to lynch a white man based on nothing because it may have happened to some distant relative of theirs.
BTW some "scholar" on Twitter suggested everyone should read up on slavery and the House of Cost.
Please explain how what you described is possible. Not saying it isn’t, but the way you wrote it seems impossible.
This is how small towns in Maine, with 3% African-American population, wind up with an African-American Police Chief ... usually some Affirmative Action idiot who was cashiered in a big-city PD... but with a big settlement. Nation-wide search, hefty fee to the search firm ... get us a black school superintendent while we're at it, and maybe an Hispanic Fire Chief.
O rats, I knew I forgot something. Get their wives jobs at the local hospital ... Affirmative Action Coordinator?
I don’t feel that was necessary and in fact consider it a gross invasion of not only Darren Wilson’s privacy but that of all the family members who were scrutinized.
_______________
Scrutinized, hell!
In mortal danger.
“it is very similar to what we are hearing to be true.”
The truth doesn’t matter here to holder, obama or the DOJ. The truth is the MAN was a criminal thug whose juve record will be slammed shut and autopsies will be carried out until holder gets at least one with questionable results.
Of course.
In a dynamic confrontation, police rarely if ever are able to shoot straight. The idea of shooting a knife or gun out of someone’s hand is pure hollywood.
But, you do raise a point. 4 of the 6 shots were non lethal.
I think for me, it was very troubling to see the victim lying there, uncovered for a considerable period of time. Someone said 4 hours? Please, someone tell me that’s not true. That alone would inflame anyone esp if it were your relative.
The narrative says that at first he did not stop Brown because he thought they were suspects. IT was only after he started to leave that he heard something on the radio about a robbery, and saw something in their hands that looked like the cigar boxes. From that point on it was a dynamic interaction.
What I noticed on the video of the robbery, was the behavior of Brown, ie how quick he was to confront the smaller sized shop owner. It was like it was a reflex.
Move ahead 15 minutes, and he confronts a cop. Sounds like he didn’t hesitate to show his aggression, ie if this accounting is accurate.
Speculating that there are probably some rapes in Big Mike’s past, as well, considering his
“I’ll take what I want because I’m bigger than you” attitude.
A motivated person can cover 50’ faster than most people can come to grips with the fact that they’re going to get stabbed in the process.
LEO is taught that if a perp is within 21 feet he can get to you before you are able to draw your weapon. It happens really fast. Action beats reaction almost every time.
Worth repeating:
Cop’s friend: “So he said that they, you know, um, they were walking in the middle of the street and he rolled his window down and, you know, said Come on guys out of the street. Um, they refused to, and were yelling back and saying: We are almost where we are going. There was some cussing involved, um, and then he just kept rolling up and he pulled over, and I believe, at that point, he called for a backup but I am not sure. But I know he pulled up ahead of them and he was watching them and then gets the call-in that there was a strong-arm robbery, and they get the description, and he was looking at them and they got something in their hands that looks like it could be, what, you know, those cigars or whatever, so he goes in reverse back to them and tries to get out of his car and they slam his door shut violentlyI think he said Michael didthen he opened his car again and tries to get out. and as he stands up, Michael just bum rushes him, just shoves him back into the car, and punches him in the face, and then of course Darren grabs for his gun. Michael grabs the gun. At one point he has the gun totally turned against his hip and Darren, you know, shoves it away and the gun goes off. Well then Michael takes off with his friend and he gets about 35 feet away and, um, you know, Darrenof course protocol is to pursueso he stands up and yells: Freeze! Um, Michael and his friend turn around and Michael starts taunting him: Oh what are you going to do about it?, you know, You are not going to shoot me! And then, he said, all of a sudden he just started to bum rush him. He just started coming at him full speed, and so he just started shooting, and he just kept coming. So he really thinks he was on something, um, because he just kept coming. It was unbelievable.”
Makes perfect sense, yet has nuances that are so true nobody would think to put it that way.
What mistake did George Z make, other than acting like an idiot after the trial.
