Canada's 'Prince of Pot' returns home after 5 years in U.S. jail
(Reuters) - A Canadian man jailed for five years in a U.S. federal prison for shipping marijuana seeds across the border returned to his homeland on Tuesday, as laws regulating the drug in both countries have slowly been relaxed.
Marc Emery, Canada's self-proclaimed "Prince of Pot," crossed the border from Detroit, Michigan to Windsor, Ontario, and soon after addressed television cameras and supporters with his wife Jodie Emery by his side.
He said he expected to resume his activism for cannabis policy reform and would support Jodie's political campaign to run for the Liberals in Vancouver East as well as embark on a speaking tour that includes visits to Spain and Ireland.
"After five years of prison you can't scare me," he said.

...or not.
It seems to be like trying to beat back the tide with a teaspoon.
There’s nothing wise about people widely indulging in pot for pot’s sake. This is not talking about medicinal uses; pot has become a kind of god.
But this is a band-aid fix for the lack of self respect that comes from a lack of God respect.

“It seems to be like trying to beat back the tide with a teaspoon.”
I’m guessing you’re talking about the inroads that the pro-pothead movement is making.
The way I see it, potheads are more brutish than cigarette smokers, but look at how detested smokers are nowadays.
Worst things will eventually happen to potheads because of their arrogance.
“pot has become a kind of god.”
Idolatry pure and simple.
Paul would see it as yet another tawdry case of loving the creature (pot) more than the Creator.
I think it has more to do with being locked in a cage for smoking a plant. At any rate, you’ll get over it.
lol.
The guy wasn’t locked up for abusing pot. He was convicted for transporting pot seeds.
Not talking about him, though that is just as ridiculous.
